Jimmy Carol Davis, son of Anna Belle Lamunion Davis and the late Noble Davis, was born on May 5, 1961, in Carrollton, Missouri, and departed this life on November 17, 2022, at his residence in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 61 years.
Mr. Davis was a former employee of Vancil’s IGA and also had worked for the City of Miami, Missouri. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Belle Davis of Bernie, Missouri; by three brothers, Ray Davis of Dexter, Missouri, Dennis Davis of Bernie, Missouri, and Mike Davis of Campbell, Missouri; and by his sister, Kim Cavaness of Bernie, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noble Davis, and two sisters, Donna Hirt and Sharon Sue Davis.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Smith Stevenson Cemetery.

Betty Lou Curran, daughter of the late Fred Lizenbee and Ella Hoss Lizenbee, was born on November 12, 1940, and departed this life on November 16, 2022, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 82 years.
Mrs. Curran was a homemaker, a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter. Growing up she was a typical farm girl. After she married, she traveled to many places with her husband, as he was in the military. She loved her children and grandchildren, and she never met a stranger.
On July 26, 1959, in Rockville, Indiana, she was united in marriage to John “Jack” Curran. Mr. Curran preceded her in death on June 9, 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Tony Curran and wife Michelle of Dexter, Missouri, and John Curran and wife Kelly of Benton, Arkansas; by her brother, Robert Lizenbee of Dexter, Missouri; by her sister, Helen Robinson of Dexter, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Toni Curran and fiancé Preston Loyd, Elizabeth Curran and boyfriend Will Brehmer, Shelby Curran, Brandi Curran, Bella Curran, and Carson Curran; and by her great-grandson, Dutton Loyd.
Other than by her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, Earl Lizenbee, Clay Lizenbee, and Lonzo Lizenbee; and by four sisters, Velma Jones Allen, Beatrice Donica, Mary Hull, and Loretta Quick.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Loren Stephens and Rev. Lonny Mittag officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Anita J. Jarrell, daughter of the late Harrison Brigman and Bertha Floyd Brigman, was born on December 31, 1962, in Bernie, Missouri, and departed this life on November 16, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 59 years.
Ms. Jarrell was a homemaker and a resident of Puxico, Missouri.
She is survived by three sons, Christopher Canoy of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Joey Canoy of Zalma, Missouri, and Casey Jarrell of Dexter, Missouri; by three sisters, Dottie Sue Hunt of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Patsy Stringer of Jackson, Missouri, and Nancy Hartle of Millersville, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Brenley Canoy, Adeline Canoy, Landry Canoy, Maniah, Orner, and Raelynn Hoffman.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles Brigman, Guy Brigman, William Brigman, Gerald Brigman, and Eddie Brigman; and by three sisters, Audrey Brigman, Carla Brigman, and Marie Hicks.

Ronnie Gene Williams, son of the late Wretha Mae Cobb Minton and Joe Robert Williams was born on September 24, 1955, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on November 16, 2022, at his residence in Bernie at the age of 67.
Ronnie attended the New Beginning’s Church in Malden, Missouri. He was an avid musician that could play any instrument. He enjoyed playing the blues, with his band, The Reals. He had worked as a truck driver with his brother at Donnie Williams Trucking.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Baker and husband Gary Baker Jr. of Bernie, Missouri; by his son, Mark Williams of Bernie, Missouri; by four brothers, Robert Williams of Barstow, California, David Williams of Holcomb, Missouri, Donnie Williams of Dexter, Missouri, and Ricky Williams of Parma, Missouri; by five sisters, Carol Lacey of Scott City, Missouri, Barbara Joe of St. Louis, Missouri, Peggy Weems of Malden, Missouri, Ann Weems of Morrisville, Tennessee, and Patricia Chance of Bernie, Missouri; and by three grandchildren, Katelyn Baker, Morgan Baker and Landri Baker.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Williams Jr.; by three brothers, Randy Williams, Wayne Williams and Stevie Williams; and by three sisters, Joyce Moore, Mona Weems, and Betty Carol Williams.
A memorial service will be conducted the New Beginning’s Church in Malden, Missouri on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Lacey officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie City Cemetery.

Melba Hyslop Pate, daughter of the late Lyle Booker and Ressie Jones Booker, was born on November 2, 1954, in Altus, Oklahoma, and departed this life on November 14, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 68 years.
Mrs. Pate was the former owner of Melba’s Upholstery Shop in Houston, Texas and she was a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. She loved animals and was a fun spirited, loving person.
On December 1, 2015, in Bloomfield, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Joe Pate. Mr. Pate preceded her in death on February 18, 2016.
She is survived by her grandson, Dustin Walker and wife Krystal of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her brother, Dewayne Booker; and by two sisters, Dixie Beck of Sikeston, Missouri, and Marilyn Witt of Magnolia, Texas.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Hyslop, and by her daughter, Christy Sunshine Hyslop.
