Srgt Cody Fulkerson to Leave MSHP
After 36 years in law enforcement, Srgt. Cody Fulkerson of the Missouri Highway Patrol is stepping down.  He will take a few weeks off before focusing on his new position with the Missouri Division of Alcohol an dTobacco.

Many will recognize Fulkerson as the communications person for Troop I, others may remember the 6 years he spent as a police officer with the city of Rolla.

After serving the community of Rolla for 6 years as a member of the police department, Fulkerson joined the highway patrol in 1992 and was assigned to Troop I. Since then, Fulkerson said he has been assigned all over the state and involved in many different types of incidents and crisis.

I was appointed to the Governor’s Personal Protection Detail in 2006 and served on the detail for two administrations with Governor(s) Blunt and Nixon respectfully.”

In 2010, he returned to Troop I where he served as a Zone Commander until being appointed to his current position as the Public Information Sergeant in 2014.

He will be honored with a retirement reception on June 28, at Troop I headquarters in Rolla. The public is invited to attend. The reception gets underway at 1:00 p.m.

Ginithan Named Director of Radiology and Womancare
Cape Girardeau, Missouri -  Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to introduce Ginny W. Ginithan as Director of Radiology and Womancare. 

In her new role, Ginithan will serve as a member of the Saint Francis Leadership team and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all functions within Radiology and Women’s Health Services to ensure patients receive care in accordance with Saint Francis policies, procedures and objectives. She will also perform a wide variety of regulatory, fiscal and administrative duties and oversee Radiology and Women’s Health Services staff. 

She comes to Saint Francis from Northwest Texas Healthcare System, where she has been Director, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology Services since 2012. She has previously served as Director of Imaging Services and Interim Director of Cardiac Services at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. 

Ginithan earned her Master’s Degree in Organizational Management with an emphasis in business law and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Education with emphasis in management at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas. She also holds a Radiology Technology Certification of Registry.

St. Francis Offering FREE Screenings Every First Wednesday
SAINT FRANCIS OFFERING FREE SCREENINGS EVERY FIRST WEDNESDAY
Screenings will no longer be held on third Wednesdays, as previously scheduled.

Cape Girardeau, Missouri -  Starting in August, Heart & Health Screenings will only be held on the first Wednesday of each month at Saint Francis Medical Center.

The screenings will no longer be held on the third Wednesday of each month. As the first Wednesday falls on Independence Day, there will only be a screening on the 3rd Wednesday in July ( July 18th).

The screenings will still offer free blood pressure checks, glucose diabetes risk screenings for $7 and heart health screenings for $30. Heart health screenings include total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, cardiac risk ratio, glucose and blood pressure checks and require a 10- to 12-hour fast beforehand. Clients are encouraged to drink water and take medications as prescribed. Heart & Health Screenings are not billed to Medicare or insurance. 

Screenings will still be held at the same time and place, from 7 to 10 am in the Health and Wellness Conference Room #2, Saint Martha Conference Room. No appointments are necessary.  Citizens over 60 years old may inquire about the possibility of free heart health screenings, funded through the Senior Citizens’ Services Fund Board.
