Imogene Arnold

Imogene Arnold

Imogene Arnold, daughter of the late Ottie Miles and Adel Taylor Miles was born on April 12, 1916 in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on February 22, 2015 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 98.

Mrs. Arnold was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.  She had worked in the Stoddard County Recorder of Deeds office for a number of years.  She will also be remembered as a strong Democrat.

On June 4, 1944 she was united in marriage to William “Bud” Arnold in Bloomfield.  Mr. Arnold preceded her in death on May 7, 1985.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Kathryn Clark and husband David Vray of St. Louis; by one brother, Roy Miles of Roanoke, Virginia; by one special niece, Robyn Brown and by one special great nephew, Miles Brown.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Taylor Miles and Dayton Miles and by one sister, Martha Minton.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral home in Dexter on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. 

At 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 Dr. Barry Winders will give a few remarks. 

A private burial will be conducted at a later date in the Dexter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church , P. O. Box 156,  Dexter, Missouri 63841.
