He had lived in the Bloomfield area all his life. He had farmed and ranched all his life and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was Past Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge 153 A.F & A.M. in 1971. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Amvets and the American Legion.
On April 5, 1947, he was married to Betty Louise Ward in St. Louis, Missouri. She preceded him in death on September 21, 1983.
Surviving are two sons and wives, Bill & Janice Aslin and Bob & Donna Aslin all of Bloomfield; one daughter and husband, Lynn & Gary Huffman of Bloomfield; four grandchildren and spouses, Chris & Mary Williamson of Bloomfield, Sonja & Michael Hobbs of Bloomfield, Sarah & Bret Barton of Collierville, Tennessee, Nathan & Courtney Aslin of Bloomfield; five great grandchildren & spouse, Kodie & Hunter Dement, Sophie Aslin, and Brant Hobbs all of Bloomfield, Brooke Barton and Kinley Barton both of Collierville, Tennessee. Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, “Bo” Aslin in 2012, one sister, Leah Fisher, three brothers, Carmen, Clinton and Kenneth Aslin.

Leroy “Lee” Edward Green, son of the late Dewey Lee Green and Vida Agnes Houchin Green, was born April 12, 1925 in Malden, Missouri and departed this life on February 19, 2015 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter at the age of 89.
On January 6, 1956, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Oneita Asa, who preceded him in death on July 27, 1993.
After retiring from farming, Lee worked for Gaines and Crane Service Station before beginning his 29-year career as a cotton picker mechanic at Worley Implement in Dexter.
A member of the United Methodist Church, Lee was a devoted Christian who spent many hours visiting with shut-ins and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Horseback riding and hunting with his bird dog were two of his favorite pastimes. Lee prided himself in being a “Yellow Dog Democrat” vowing “he was too poor to be a Republican.”
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Taylor and Phyllis Edwards, one brother-in-law, Floyd Edwards, and a very dear friend, Ann Worley, all of Dexter, Missouri.
Sisters, Ruth Day of Flint Michigan and infant sister, Louise, preceded him in death. Uncle Lee will be missed by many nieces, nephews and a host of lifelong friends.

Norman Dean Gillespie, son of the late Ferrel Gillespie and Ester Wagner Gillespie, was born on May 15, 1929 in Puxico, Missouri and departed this life on February 15, 2015 at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter at the age of 85.
Mr. Gillespie had worked as a carpenter, was a resident of Dexter as well as a veteran of the United States Army
On January 20, 1962, he was united in marriage to Aretta Irene "Susie" Schatte in Puxico. Mrs. Gillespie survives of the home.

Karla J. Turner, daughter of the late Donald Greer and Lavada Tarrants Greer, was born on September 20, 1963 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on February 17, 2015 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 51.
On June 7, 1985, Karla was united in marriage to Donald Turner in Morehouse, Missouri. Mr. Turner survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Rebekah Greer of Dexter; by two sisters, LaDonna Haynes of Sikeston and Marti Ann Greer of Morehouse; and by three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter on February 20, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Lighthouse Christian Center at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

She had lived in the Bloomfield area most of her life, had worked at Elder's Manufacturing and was a General Baptist Church member.
On April 13, 1953, she was married to Elmer Dean Fortner in Essex, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2014.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Fortner of Bloomfield, Jeff Fortner of Dexter; one daughter, Janet Wilson of Dexter; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, James F. O'Dell and Charles W. O'Dell both of Dexter; four sisters, Frances Elizabeth Riggs of Scott City, Gloria Kathryn Robinson of Dexter, Freda Elene Warren of Clarkton and Delcie Lee Hesselbein of St. Peters. Other relatives and friends also survive.
