Joyce McGee, daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Myrtle May Scritchfield Gallamore, was born in Chaonia, Missouri on February 19, 1936, and passed away at the Bench Mark Care Center in Greenville, Missouri on August 21, 2013, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 12 days.
She had lived in this area for 60 years. She was a member of the Crossroads General Baptist Church in Greenville. She had worked at the Advance Shoe Factory and enjoyed painting and praying.
On August 17, 1955, she was married to James Daniel Willard McGee. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1994.
Surviving are one son, Tobias McGee of Lowndes, Missouri; five daughters, Carol McGee and Mary Rogers both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Janice Eads of Bismark, Missouri, Jeanett Eads of Clubb, Missouri, Jane Hillis of Williamsville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Lela Douglas of Bloomfield, Missouri, Deanna Metz of Dexter, Missouri, Melba Barks of Union, Missouri and Verna Skaggs of Greenville, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Gallamore.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 23, 2013, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held on Friday August 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the McGee Cemetery in McGee with the Rev. Frank Radford of Marble Hill, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the McGee Cemetery in McGee, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
