
Knealin W. Wright, Jr., son of Knealin W. Wright, Sr. of Pomona, Missouri and Deborah Jean McGowen of Dexter, Missouri, was born on December 16, 1970 at St. Charles, Illinois and passed away on August 29, 2013 at SoutheastHealth Center of Stoddard County in Dexter at the age of 42 years.
Mr. Wright had worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and was a resident of Dexter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jeff Wright and Chris Jackson, both of Dexter; one sister, Melinda Jones of Springfield; and his maternal grandmother, Laura Wright of Bernie.

Evelyn Estelle Dieter, daughter of the late Franklin C. Gregg and Elizabeth Armstrong Gregg, was born on October 20, 1916 in Hackleburg, Alabama and passed away on August 28, 2013 at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Missouri at the age of 96 years.
Mrs. Dieter was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter. She was a housewife and a resident of Dexter.
On October 17, 1936, she was united in marriage to Richard W. Dieter in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Deiter preceded her in death on December 29, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Dieter and wife Diane of Apalachicola, Florida and Richard Deiter and wife Janice of Memphis, Tennessee; by four daughters, Evelyn Bishop and husband Carl of Dexter, Barbara O’Donnell and husband Jim of Bayonet Pointe, Florida, Joan Himmelberg and husband Leo of St. Louis and Caroline Moore and husband Don of Sikeston; by one brother, Morris Gregg and wife Donna of Dexter; by one sister, Jean Dunn and husband Harold of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clovis Gregg, Joseph Gregg, Robert Gregg and Ivin J. Gregg and by three sisters, Jessie Link, Teela Koch and Della Wilson.
Friends may call at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. with Father David Dohogne officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

James Bryan Lankford, son of the late Bryan and Mary Evelyn Ellis Lankford, was born in Essex, Missouri on September 3, 1938, and passed away at his home near Dexter on August 28, 2013, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 24 days.
He had lived in Phoenix, Arizona from 1967 to 1994 when he moved back to Southeast Missouri. He had been a resident of Dexter since 2010. He was retired from the Salt River Project as an Engineer Technician and was a member of the Essex Methodist Church in Essex, Missouri.
On October 4, 1958, he was married to Bonnie Rodgers in Essex, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Lankford of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter & spouse, Susan & Don Rapp of Scottsdale, Arizona; one son & spouse, Bryan Keith & Tina Lankford of Houston, Texas; 2 grandsons, Thomas Rapp of Scottsdale, Arizona, Tristen Lankford of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Jessica Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona; one great grandson, Gavin James Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona; two sisters & spouse, Ruth & Don Stuckey of Medora, Illinois and Sheila Hester of Essex, Missouri; one brother & spouse, Glen & Janice Lankford of Bloomfield, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2013, after 9:30 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

She had been a resident of Bloomfield most of her life and was a member of the Church of Christ. She had worked as a self employed house keeper.
On April 21, 1944, she was married to Lee "Jack" Jarrell in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2001.
She is survived by three daughters, Kay Wiley, Patti Mason, and Karen Franklin all of Bloomfield; four sons, Jim, Tom, and Ronnie Jarrell all of Bloomfield and Jerry Jarrell of Dexter; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Black of Scott City; and two sisters, Dorothy Jarrell of Dexter, and Shelby Sadler of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Chris Black, four sisters, Ella Hicks, Lona Mae Black, Lillie Landers and Betty Black.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Hazel Vivian Gregory Walker Crouch, daughter of the late James and Lillie Boone Gregory was born on January 9, 1921 at Bernie and departed this life in her residence at Bernie on August 24, 2013 at the age of 92.
Mrs. Crouch was member of the River Of Life Worship Center near Dexter where she loved attending. She was a former cook for the Bernie Public School System and a resident of Bernie.
She enjoyed her beautiful flowers, raising a garden and cooking for her family. She lived by the motto: God First, Others Second ,Me Last. She told her family many times, “I don’t have anything to give you except love.” And she did indeed. Mrs. Crouch was a person who always wanted to serve others.
She was united in marriage to Lester Samuel Walker on September 26, 1936. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1984. She was then married to Clyde Crouch on November 28, 1988 at Bernie. He also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, James Walker of Bernie: by five daughters, Phyllis Dowdy of Orion, Michigan, Jolene McCollum and husband Mike of Jackson, Kaye Millner of Memphis, Tennessee, Connie Hill and husband Carl of Jackson and Brenda Kane and husband Bill of Dexter: by three step-sons, Mike Crouch of Jackson, Wayne Crouch and Richard Crouch both of Kennett: by one step-daughter, Carol Keys of Campbell: by three brothers, Loyd Gregory of Rockford, Illinois, Denver Gregory and Darrell Gregory both of Dexter: by twenty one grandchildren and thirty six great-grandchildren.
Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Walker: by three brothers, Howard Gregory, Dale Gregory and Otis Gregory: by two sisters, Ann Henderson and Onvall Noyes.
