Charlene Middleton

Charlene Middleton, daughter of the late Charles Temples and Mary Ann “Mollie” McClard Temples, was born on February 27, 1919 in Dexter and passed away on August 19, 2013 at her residence in Dexter at the age of 94 years.

 

Mrs. Middleton was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter and had worked as a seamstress at Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter.

 

On September 6, 1936, she was united in marriage to Willis Edward Middleton in Dexter.  Mr. Middleton preceded her in death on March 12, 2003.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Ann M. Stroder of Dexter; one sister, Evelyn Hunt of Dexter; by two grandchildren, Todd Stroder and Blake Alan Stroder;  by two great-grandchildren, Josh Stroder and Blake Ryan Stroder; and by several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Temples, Tom Temples, Fred Temples and Ed Temples; and by five sisters, Ruth Corlies, Julia Ivester, Gladys Spore, Addie Thieke and Naomi Miller.

 

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Kennedy officiating. 

 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
