THIS HEAT ADVISORY INCLUDES PARTS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND EXTREME WESTERN KENTUCKY, SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM CAPE GIRARDEAU TO PADUCAH. * TEMPERATURE...HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 90S. THE HEAT INDEX WILL PEAK BETWEEN 104 AND 108 DEGREES IN THE AFTERNOON. * IMPACTS

...PERSONS WORKING OUTDOORS OR ENGAGING IN RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WILL ENCOUNTER HAZARDOUS LEVELS OF HEAT AND HUMIDITY. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

THE MOST OPPRESSIVE CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY BE FELT ACROSS SOUTHEAST MISSOURI, SOUTHERN ILLINOIS, AND FAR WESTERN KENTUCKY. HEAT INDEX READINGS WILL LIKELY TOP OUT BETWEEN 100 AND 105 ON SUNDAY, WITH SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS AS THE PRIMARY OPPORTUNITY FOR ANY RELIEF.

EXERCISE CAUTION TO AVOID HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS IN AIR CONDITIONED SPACES.
