Helen Joan Coffey, daughter of the late Edward Lankford and Fern Kimbrel Lankford, was born on May 1, 1934 in Essex, Missouri, and departed this life on March 5, 2021 at Dexter Living Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.
Mrs. Coffey was a former Licensed Practical Nurse and had also worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Central Elementary in Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and walking, and was an avid reader. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother and expressed her love through cooking.
On January 5, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Curtis Coffey. Mr. Coffey preceded her in death on August 25, 2005.
She is survived by her son, Steve Coffey of Scottsdale, Arizona; by three daughters, Patty Lambert of Dexter, Missouri, Angie Keenan (Tom) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Cindy Burkemper (Gary) of O’Fallon, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Mike (Jennie), Andy (Kami), and Sarah; and by four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Eli, Karsyn, and Noah.
Graveside services will be conducted at Dexter Cemetery on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Gary De Arman, son of the late Carl De Arman and Verna Davis De Arman, was born on August 28, 1945 and departed this life on March 5, 2021 at Winchester Nursing in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.
Mr. De Arman was a former highway patrolman with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop E and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Gary was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.
On February, 11, 1965, he was united in marriage to Eva Sue Gilmore in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. De Arman preceded him in death on December 6, 2018.
He is survived by two sons, Jim De Arman and his wife Kristi of Malden and Bill De Arman and his wife Jeanette of Malden; by his sister, Gladys Hopkins and her husband Herschel of Dexter; by his sister-in-law, Janet Gilmore of Poplar Bluff; by three grandchildren, Dylan De Arman, Allison De Arman and India De Arman; and by many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline McAnally.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brandon Spain officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Sheila Ann McFarlen, daughter of the late Kenred and Shirley Moore Stegall was born on May 13, 1957 and departed this life on March 5, 2021 at the SoutheastHealth of Cape Girardeau at the age of 63.
Sheila was a title researcher and worked for County Wide Abstract for thirty years and had currently been working for National Title and Escrow. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, remaining active within the church and giving freely of her time to serve anyway possible. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.
On December 15, 1978 she was united in marriage to Larry McFarlen in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. McFarlen survives of their home in Dexter.
Besides her husband, Larry, she is survived by one son, Ryan McFarlen and wife Jessica of Dexter; by one daughter, Erin Wells and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri; by two sisters, Janice Robertson and husband Kenny of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Robin Hollowell and husband Mike of Wynne, Arkansas; and by six grandchildren, Myles McFarlen, Molli McFarlen, Caden Wells, Ryker Wells, Declan Wells and Hadley Wells.
Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Geraldine Evans, daughter of the late Vernie Simmers and Ella Grace Limbaugh Simmers, was born on August 25, 1930 in Greenbrier, Missouri, and departed this life on March 2, 2021 at her residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Mrs. Evans was a former employee of the Inland Shoe Company. She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church in Puxico, Missouri.
In 1947, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to William Evans Jr. Mr. Evans preceded her in death on December 28, 2001.
She is survived by her son, Larry Evans of Bloomfield.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred, Simmers; and by her sister, Lela Harty.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Tim Simmers officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri.

Margaret Jones, 74, sweetly entered the presence of Jesus surrounded by family at her home in Dexter, Missouri on March 2, 2021.
Margaret was born on March 16, 1946 in Wappapello, Missouri to Albert and Maggie Conner both of whom preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage on November 10, 1963 to the late Dale Louis Jones, Sr. in Puxico, Missouri. They later settled in Dexter, Missouri where they raised two sons, Dale, Jr. and Brian. They enjoyed 53 years together before Mr. Jones' death in 2016.
Margaret worked as a cook at Dexter Southwest Elementary School from which she retired after 23 years of service. Prior to that she worked for 17 years at Elder Manufacturing.
She was a faithful member of Dexter First Assembly of God Church for 28 years where she gained a reputation as a dedicated prayer warrior. Margaret's greatest passion was serving her Lord which led to her active participation in several ministries within the church including assisting in the kitchen for dinners and events, as well as serving on the pulpit committee. She had a great compassion for people, spending countless hours praying with and for those in need. One of her special gifts was sending cards to those who needed encouragement. Her crowning joy was knowing that her sons followed in her footsteps by serving the Lord.
Margaret loved to read and enjoyed browsing antique shops. She was an excellent cook known for many special dishes including her famous sausage biscuits and gravy, which she served annually at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast, and her much sought-after recipe for holiday dressing. She was also known for her delicious desserts.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers: Francis Conner (infant), Harvey Conner, Ralph Conner, Francis Conner, A.J. Conner, Carl Conner, Howard Conner, and Claudie Conner; four sisters: Ruth Conner (infant), Geraldine Conner, Edna Pitt and Lorene Grimes.
She leaves to treasure her memories her two loving sons, Dale Jones, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, and Brian (Sarah) Jones of Dexter, Missouri; two grandchildren, Logan Jones and Lily Jones of Dexter, Missouri; a brother, Buddy (Louise) Conner of Wappapello, Missouri; a sister, Betty Payne of Puxico, Missouri, a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Dexter First Assembly of God Church on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kaleb Brown, Rev. Mike Kholbaker, and Rev. Gary Petty officiating.
A private family-only interment will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
