In Memory of Sheila Ann McFarlen

Sheila Ann McFarlen, daughter of the late Kenred and Shirley Moore Stegall was born on May 13, 1957 and departed this life on March 5, 2021 at the SoutheastHealth of Cape Girardeau at the age of 63.

Sheila was a title researcher and worked for County Wide Abstract for thirty years and had currently been working for National Title and Escrow. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, remaining active within the church and giving freely of her time to serve anyway possible. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother.

On December 15, 1978 she was united in marriage to Larry McFarlen in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. McFarlen survives of their home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, Larry, she is survived by one son, Ryan McFarlen and wife Jessica of Dexter; by one daughter, Erin Wells and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri; by two sisters, Janice Robertson and husband Kenny of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Robin Hollowell and husband Mike of Wynne, Arkansas; and by six grandchildren, Myles McFarlen, Molli McFarlen, Caden Wells, Ryker Wells, Declan Wells and Hadley Wells.

Visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
