
Dexter, Missouri – The Dexter Bearcats Boys Basketball Camp is slated for Tuesday, May 26th – Thursday, May 28th at the Bearcat Event Center.
The cost to attend is $25 per athlete. Check can be made payable to Dexter High School.
There will be three sessions. The first session is from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each day for students entering grades kindergarten through second grade. The second session is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for athletes entering the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The third session is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for student entering the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Dexter, Missouri – The Dexter Bearcats boys tennis team remains undefeated and closer to their first District title in years.
On Tuesday afternoon they defeated DeSoto 5-0 in the Class 1, District 1 Semifinal. They will be back on the court Wednesday, May 13 at 4:00 p.m. against an old rivalry Notre Dame.
Notre Dame defeated Arcadia Valley on Tuesday in Cape Girardeau. Dexter has already beaten the Bulldogs 7-2 on March 31st and 7-2 on April 15th.
In Doubles:
Noah Kronk and Ethan Flowers beat Blake Krodinger and Ryan Wolfe 8-3
Zach Potts and Josh Kohlbaker beat Madison Spiker and Kyle Yancey 8-0
Brooks Propst and Addison Moore beat Zachary Light and Rylee Harrimann 8-0
In Singles:
Brooks Propst defeated Zachary Light 6-0, 6-0
Addison Moore defeated Rylee Harrimann 6-0, 6-0
“I thought we shook off the rust pretty well,” stated Dexter coach Kurt Lovelady. “Hopefully we can shake off some more rust before Wednesday. We’ve got to place shots well going forward as we see better and better competition from here on out.”
“Notre Dame has a little bit different line-up,” continued Lovelady. “They have made a few changes. We have beaten them twice and there is something about beating a team a third time in a season that can always be challenging. We need to play well and place our shots better than we did today.”

Sikeston, Missouri – Ethan Stevens not only secured medalist honors, but came in 2 under par 69 on the Par 71 course at the Class 3, Sectional 1 at Fox Haven Country Club in Sikeston on Tuesday.
Stevens ranked first with Gabe Wheeler of Sikeston coming in second. Wheeler shot one-over-par 71. Third place went to Kobe Franklin of Cape Girardeau who shot four-over-par 71.
Farmington placed first in team competition with a score of 320. Sikeston placed second with a team score of 330.
The top two team scores and top 12 individual scores will advance to the State Tournament slated for May 18th and 19th at Silo Ridge Golf Club in Bolivar, Missouri.

Farmington, Missouri – Ethan Stevens and Drake Mitchell qualified for golf sectionals to be held on Monday, May 11th in Sikeston.
Stevens tied for sixth place and Mitchell tied for 13th place at the Class 3, District 1 golf tournament at Crown Pointe Golf Course in Farmington. Stevens shot nine-over-par 81 and Mitchell shot 13-over-par 85.
Farmington won the tournament with a team score of 319. The best 15 individuals qualify for sectionals and the top two teams move on.
