Ross Lucas Martin, son of Robert “Butch” Martin and Candace Maxey Bradford, was born on March 22, 1980, in Fort Hood, Texas, and departed this life on June 1, 2023, at his residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 43 years.

Mr. Martin was a maintenance technician with Hartels Property Management and a former welder. He was a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge #533 in Dexter, Missouri, and the Second Half Ministry in Sikeston, Missouri. He loved the Detroit Redwings and the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved his family very much.

On April 22, 2023, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Melissa Anne Hazel.

He is survived by his wife, Missy Martin of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, by his father and step-mother, Butch and Pat Martin of Campbell, Missouri; by his mother and step-father, Candy and Terry Bradford of Bertrand, Missouri; by two sons, Noah Martin of Campbell, Missouri, and Jaden Sutton of Jackson, Missouri; by two daughters, Kylee Martin of Campbell, Missouri, and Kinzie Hazel of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by his brother, Robert Aaron Martin of Bernie, Missouri; two sisters, Kristi Dawn Deluna of Little Elm, Texas and Jennifer Ross-Smith of Winterport, Maine.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tara Martin and Tiffany Martin; by his paternal grandparents, Milford & Dorothy Martin; and by his maternal grandparents, Lon and Ruby Maxey.

Graveside services will be conducted at Bernie Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bart Smith officiating.
