Helen Louise Ross, 95, passed away May 12, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Helen was born on March 14, 1927, in Dexter, Missouri, the daughter of the late William Christman and Anna Stewart Christman Finley. On June 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to the late James C. Ross of Essex, Missouri.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a long-time resident of Essex, where she attended the Essex Methodist Church. Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and served as a scout leader for the Girl Scouts of America.

Survivors include, her son, James Alan Ross of Chesterfield, Missouri; her daughter, Pamela Ann Waggoner of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, her sister, Deanne Disbro; and two brothers, Jerry Christman and James Christman preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Rains officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
