Melissa Dawn Jones, daughter of Tracie (Fred) Cartwright and Charles (Susie) Kirby all of East Prairie, Missouri was born September 1, 1985, in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on May 14, 2022, at her residence in East Prairie, Missouri, at the age of 36.
Melissa worked as a dispatcher for Johnston Transportation LLC in East Prairie, Missouri until her illness forced her to retire. She fought a hard fight during her battle with cancer and was surrounded by her family and friends until the very end. She loved her children, family, and friends with everything she had and will be missed dearly by them all.
She is survived by two daughters, Laila Weakley and Harper Garnett of East Prairie; by one son, Grae Tatum of East Prairie; six sisters, Nicki (Nelson) Jones, Courtney Thresher, Chelsea (Kody) Kirby, Teri (Tommy) Cade, all of East Prairie, Amber (Thomas) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia and Kaylie Carlyle of Paxton, Nebraska; four brothers, Scotty Carlyle of New Madrid, Missouri, Kolton Carlyle of Paxton, Nebraska, Frankie Nave and Cody Nave of East Prairie, Missouri; fiancé, Johnny Tatum; Jaclyn Warren and Jeremy (Erin) Warren, of East Prairie, who were like her brother and sister; Brooklyn Irby and Aubreigh McMikle special nieces; five nieces, eight nephews; special cousin, Holly Childers.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Martha Brown and Paul Stiltz; paternal grandparents, Ellen Williams and Bo Kirby.
Pallbearers will be Nelson McMikle, Frank Nave, Cody Nave, Kody Riley, Robert Hinkle and Scotty Carlyle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Johnston, Mason Johnston, Thomas Brown and Louis Kirby.
Visitation will be held Tuesday May 17, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Power House of God Church in East Prairie, Missouri.
Funeral services will then be conducted at the Power House of God Church on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Allen officiating.
Burial will follow at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family requests that no one wear black to the funeral.

Lloyd Allstun, son of the late Charley Lloyd Allstun and Tina George Allstun, was born on September 2, 1935, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on May 14, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.
Mr. Allstun was a former mechanic for the Massey Ferguson dealership, and a former farmer. He was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
He is survived by two brothers, Franklin Allstun of Dexter, and Leon Allstun and wife Myrtle of Dexter; by his sister, Lorene Marie Ward and husband Jim of Dexter; and by several nieces and nephews.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Glen Allstun and Carl Edward Allstun; and by his sister-in-law, Verda May Allstun.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery in rural Dexter, Missouri.

Marie “Nanie” Brown, daughter of the late Harry Rogers and Anna Farfalla Voss, was born on February 6, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska, and departed this life on May 14, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed being on her family’s car lots and working with the public.
She was previously married to the father of her children, Thomas Brown. She was later married to James Dale Myers who preceded her in death on May 21, 2021.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Brown of Dexter, Missouri and Michael Brown and wife Jenny of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Tammy Christian of Dexter, Missouri, and Lisa Brown of Dexter, Missouri, by her brother, Chuck Rogers of Laffe, Arkansas; by nine grandchildren, Katie Bryan, Kristina Craft, Kourtney Brown, Destiny Durham, Emily Brown, Kerigan Brady, Kristin Brown, Hayden Brown, and Gabrielle Brown; by six great-grandchildren, Alaina Christian, Haley Craft, Cole Craft, Jackson Durham, Kai Michael, and Kashton Gray and by two on the way, Kingston and Delaney.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.

Virginia Lee Pullum, daughter of the late Ernest McCollom and Lois Black McCollom, was born on June 2, 1934, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on May 12, 2022, at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 87 years.
Mrs. Pullum was a former employee of Wal-Mart in Dexter, Missouri, working in the fabric department for 20 years. She was a member of the Beech Grove Church in rural Essex, Missouri and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. She enjoyed horses and horseback riding, flowers, gardening, and listening to gospel music. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would do anything for them.
On February 9, 1954, in Bloomfield, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Charles N. Pullum. Mr. Pullum preceded her in death on January 2, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Pullum and wife Lynn of Dexter, Missouri, and Danny Pullum of Sikeston, Missouri; by her daughter, Debbie Ward and husband Dennis of Bloomfield, Missouri; by five sisters, Helen Launius of Moorpark, California, Audrey Duncan of Dexter, Missouri, Ruth Scandridge of Kentucky, Kathryn Hyslop of Dexter, Missouri, and Elaine Launius of Bloomfield, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Tyler Pullum, Kara Walker, and Travis Pullum; by three great-grandchildren, Tristin Pullum, Tara Pullum, and Emma Walker; and by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy McCollom.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 2:30 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in rural Bloomfield, Missouri.

Leila Forbis, daughter of the late Amber Howe and Myrtle Lewis Howe, was born on October 11, 1923, in Meridian, Mississippi, and departed this life on May 9, 2022, in Bakersfield, Missouri, at the age of 98 years.
Mrs. Forbis was a former resident of Dexter, Missouri. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in his electric shop in Michigan.
On November 17, 1938, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Dawsey Forbis. Mr. Forbis preceded her in death on May 4, 2017.
She is survived by her son, Bill Forbis of Michigan; by her daughter, Phyllis Sparks of Bakersfield, Missouri; and by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted in Dexter Cemetery on Friday, May 13, 2022.
