In Memory of Marie “Nanie” Brown

Marie “Nanie” Brown, daughter of the late Harry Rogers and Anna Farfalla Voss, was born on February 6, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska, and departed this life on May 14, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She enjoyed being on her family’s car lots and working with the public.

She was previously married to the father of her children, Thomas Brown. She was later married to James Dale Myers who preceded her in death on May 21, 2021.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Brown of Dexter, Missouri and Michael Brown and wife Jenny of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters, Tammy Christian of Dexter, Missouri, and Lisa Brown of Dexter, Missouri, by her brother, Chuck Rogers of Laffe, Arkansas; by nine grandchildren, Katie Bryan, Kristina Craft, Kourtney Brown, Destiny Durham, Emily Brown, Kerigan Brady, Kristin Brown, Hayden Brown, and Gabrielle Brown; by six great-grandchildren, Alaina Christian, Haley Craft, Cole Craft, Jackson Durham, Kai Michael, and Kashton Gray and by two on the way, Kingston and Delaney.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
