Beth Lynn Weber, daughter of the late Joe E. Weber and Joyce MacDonald Weber was born in St. Louis on August 12, 1961 and passed away on July 9, 2021 at her home at the age of 59.
Ms. Weber lived her entire life in Dexter, MO. She graduated from the State School in Gray Ridge, Missouri and then continued her education at the Stoddard County ARC Day Activity Center in Dexter. She resided in the ARC Walnut Street Group Home and later the ARC Boucher Street Group Home. Ms. Weber was a faithful, lifelong member of Dexter First United Methodist Church where she once served as Assistant to the Sunday School Superintendent and as an acolyte. She had the sweetest soul and loved her church family and loved to send cards to family and friends.
Beth also was especially close to her ARC family. She loved her fellow clients and staff like family. Beth loved to participate in as many activities as possible. She enjoyed assisting with Meals on Wheels, attending dances held at the Dexter Elks Lodge, American Legion and the Malden Community Center. She also enjoyed dining out and going to the movies. At one time, she was a dedicated member of Weight Watchers.
Beth never met a stranger and if she did not know a person’s name, she would be sure to introduce herself and extend a handshake of friendship. However, hugs were her most favorite way of saying hello and introducing herself. Beth loved everyone.
The family is very appreciative of all the love and care provided by the Group Home staff and Stoddard County ARC Day Activity staff. Elara Caring did an excellent job of providing in-home medical care.
Beth is survived by her sister, Cynthia Chesser and husband, Scott, of Dexter, two nephews, Austin Chesser of Richardson, TX and Matthew Chesser of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Dexter First United Methodist Church with Reverend Fred Leist officiating.
Interment will follow at Dexter Cemetery.
