Norma Jean Pyle, daughter of the late Floyd Underhill Sr. and Mary Ellen Wyatt Underhill, was born on June 11, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on July 6, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
Mrs. Pyle was a former press operator for Elder Manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On August 23, 1999, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Junior Pyle. Mr. Pyle survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband Junior, she is survived by three sons, Marvin Wallace Jr. and wife Julie of Wichita, Kansas, Brian Pyle of Dexter, Missouri, and Joe Pyle and wife Leslie of Dexter, Missouri; by four daughters, Tammy Hoberecht and husband Troy of Wichita, Kansas, Tena Hughes and husband Michael of Wichita, Kansas, Sheila Haney and husband Mike of Dexter, Missouri, and Toni Davis and husband Tim of Sikeston, Missouri; by two brothers, Floyd Underhill Jr. and wife Belinda of Sikeston, Missouri, and C. H. Underhill and wife Ann of Columbus, Ohio; by two sisters, Sondra Cobb and Ruth Ann Underhill, both of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and by twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Michelle Bollinger.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Haney, Mike Haney, Tim Davis, Mike Hughes, Troy Hoberecht, and Joe Pyle.
