Glenda Elizabeth Starnes, daughter of the late Alfred Hill and Maxine Evelyn Eldridge Hill was born on September 1, 1951 in Des Arc, Missouri, and departed this life on January 21, 2021 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 69.
Mrs. Starnes was a homemaker. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dexter. She enjoyed quilting and loved being called “Nana” by all her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was united in marriage to Gaylon Starnes, Sr. on September 20, 1969 in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Starnes survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband, Gaylon, she is survived by two sons, Gaylon Starnes, Jr. (Debbie) of Portage, Michigan, and Stacy Starnes (Teresa) of Puxico, Missouri; by one daughter, Carol Starnes of Dexter, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Zabrina Starnes, Cody Starnes, and Moriah Starnes; by three sisters, Bessie Cooper of Chaffee, Missouri, Rose West of Tyler, Texas, and Betty Vaughn of Chaffee, Missouri.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Hill, Bobby Hill, Art Hill, and Freddie Hill; three sisters, Wilma Fite, Dora May Burleson, and Anna Burleson.
Visitation will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ian Crump officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.

Williams “Bill” A. Miranda, son of the late Manuel Miranda and Irene Silva Miranda was born on September 7, 1938 at Somerville, Massachusetts, and departed this life in Southeast Health of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on January 22, 2021 at the age of 82.
Mr. Miranda served his country as a 20-year veteran of the United States Marine Corp, retiring as a E-7 Gunnery Sergeant. After military retirement, he returned to Dexter where he was the Plant Manager for The Munter’s Corporation, was the former manager for several Southeast Missouri Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant’s, and was the former maintenance supervisor for the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, was the former Commander of the Kenady-Hanks Post 51 American Legion in Dexter and was a former member of the Kenady-Hanks Post Military Honor Guard.
He was united in marriage to Mary Martin on June 25, 1960 at San Fernando, California. Mrs. Miranda survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard (Pam) Miranda of Sikeston and Kevin (Tina) Miranda of Springfield: by two daughters, Linda Miranda and Kelly (Jeremy) Grams, both of Dexter; by one brother, Richard Miranda of Buena Vista, California; by one sister, Joann Hormuth of Borrego Springs, California; by nine grandchildren, LaTisha (Britt) Arnold, Caleb (Analise) Miranda, Connor Miranda, Tera (Shannon) Eubanks, Kyle (Allison) Espey, Miranda (Leighton) Hensley, Devon Rogers, Jaxen Grams and Jett Grams; and by twelve grandchildren, Taven Owens, Braxton Arnold, Dyson Arnold, Kannon Arnold, Skylon Arnold, Austin Eubanks, Aubrie Eubanks, Blakelee Hensley, Walker Hensley, Layla Hensley, Kal Espey and Lucas Standridge.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melanie Miranda.
Friends may call at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021. Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Full Military Honors.

Gerald Leon Norman, son of the late John Henry Norman and Beulah Marsh Norman, was born on July 14, 1942 in Harvell, Missouri, and departed this life on January 18, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
Mr. Norman is a Veteran of the United State Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a former Civil Service employee, working as a mechanic. He was a resident of Dudley, Missouri.
He is survived by three children, Michele Carrell and husband Darren of Dallas, Texas, Melinda Miranda and husband Diego of San Antonio, Texas, and Matthew Norman and wife Angela of Corpus Christi, Texas; by two brothers, Johnny Norman of Illinois and Larry Norman of rural Dexter, Missouri; by his companion, Patricia Evans of Dudley, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Ashton Guerrero, Colton Carrell, Austin Guerrero, Reyann Guerrero, and Kileigh Carrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by his sister, Louella Luckett; and by five brothers, Tom Norman, Nate Norman, Everett Norman, Lindell Norman, and Glenn Norman.
A memorial service will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors.

Dorothy Marie Biggs, daughter of the late James Franklin Wallace and Bertie Lawson Wallace, was born in Kennett, Missouri on December 2, 1931 and departed this life at Ridgeview Living Community in Malden, Missouri on January 21, 2021 at the age of 89.
Mrs. Biggs was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church of Parma, Missouri.
Survivors include one son, Danny Biggs & wife Phyllis of Parma, Missouri; by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents, by one son, Darrell Gene Biggs; and by one sister, Betty Osmer.

Timothy Wade Shelton, son of the late James E. Shelton and Patsy J. Schrader Shelton was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on September 23, 1966 and departed this life at his residence in Bernie, Missouri on January 18, 2021 at the age of 54.
Mr. Shelton was a farmer throughout his life.
He was united in marriage to Kelli D. Pickard in Malden, Missouri on March 31, 1990. Mrs. Shelton survives in their home in rural Bernie.
Other survivors include one brother Michael James Shelton & wife Diane of Malden, Missouri; by his mother-in-law, Jeannie Pickard of Campbell, Missouri; by two brother-in-laws, Steven Pickard of Malden, Missouri and Christopher Pickard of Campbell, Missouri; by one sister-in-law, Kathy Neely of Campbell, Missouri; by his nieces and nephews; also by other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank those close for their support and help with Tim’s care.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by his beloved dog, Zoe, which will be buried with him.
