In Memory of Gerald Leon Norman

Gerald Leon Norman, son of the late John Henry Norman and Beulah Marsh Norman, was born on July 14, 1942 in Harvell, Missouri, and departed this life on January 18, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.

Mr. Norman is a Veteran of the United State Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a former Civil Service employee, working as a mechanic. He was a resident of Dudley, Missouri.

He is survived by three children, Michele Carrell and husband Darren of Dallas, Texas, Melinda Miranda and husband Diego of San Antonio, Texas, and Matthew Norman and wife Angela of Corpus Christi, Texas; by two brothers, Johnny Norman of Illinois and Larry Norman of rural Dexter, Missouri; by his companion, Patricia Evans of Dudley, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Ashton Guerrero, Colton Carrell, Austin Guerrero, Reyann Guerrero, and Kileigh Carrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by his sister, Louella Luckett; and by five brothers, Tom Norman, Nate Norman, Everett Norman, Lindell Norman, and Glenn Norman.

A memorial service will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors.

Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
