Patsy Ruth Cook, daughter of the late Lyman Loyd Jines and Cora Mae Knight Jines, was born on June 7, 1931 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on July 23, 2019 in Sikeston at the age of 88 years.
Mrs. Cook was a former cook on a tow boat.
She is survived by her son, Charles Michael Morrison and wife Neda of Booneville, Mississippi; by her daughter Janet Sue Smith and husband, Mark of Sikeston, Missouri; by four brothers, Larry Jines, Laddy Jines and Gary Jines, all of Dexter, Missouri, and Joe Jines of Florida; by two sisters, Judy Hadley of Yuma, Arizona and Maxine Curce of Vandalia, Illinois; by three grandchildren, Dustin Zimmerman of Sikeston, Missouri, Mendey Smith of Warrenton, Missouri, and Tiffany Hatcher of Booneville, Mississippi; and by seven great-grandchildren.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Jines, Jerry Jines, and James Jines and by her sister, Margaret Dickeson.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Morrison and Rev. Kevin Detweiler officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
