Bloomfield Lions Club to Host Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Bloomfield, Missouri - The Bloomfield Lions Club will host a "School's Out for Summer" Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Elderland Restaurant.

Cost is $7.00 for adults and children 10 and under are $5.00 each.  Carry Outs are available.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance.

Come and celebrate the end of the school year with a great spaghetti dinner fundraiser!

Proceeds will help fund the Elfreda Cox Scholarship and other club activities.

Elderaland Restaurant is sponsoring the dinner and is located at 102 S. Hwy 25 in Bloomfield.

Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. and includes spaghetti, meatless spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, drink, and dessert.  Drinks are sweet tea, unsweet tea, water and lemonade.

Students will volunteer to bus tables and help serve.  Please support them and help raise money for scholarships!

Tim Aden Selected as New Area Coordinator for Operation Christmas Child
Tim Aden has been selected as the new Area Coordinator for Operation Christmas Child for the Missouri Bootheel region.

Tim Aden was raised in a strong Christian family in Tennessee. He and his wife, Carolyn, met at Union University in Jackson, Tn. They moved back to Missouri to be near Carolyn's parents. They have two daughters, Christy and Laura, and four grandchildren.

Tim has been an Elder at Stokelan Drive Christian Church for many years and teaches an Adult Sunday School class as well as a youth class on Sunday nights. Tim coordinated the living Nativity at Stokelan for 10 years. He enjoys being active in his church and community.

Tim has partnered with the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry for around 14 years at the Stokelan Drive Drop off collection center. This past year, he served as the Network Logistics Coordinator for the Missouri Bootheel team. As a retired nurse, Tim is feels this is a wonderful way to spend his retirement. He is looking forward to his new role and partnership in spreading the good news and great joy of Jesus Christ through Operation Christmas Child!
