
Essex, Missouri - The Taylor Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Taylor Church located south of Essex.
There will be special singing by Dale and Carolyn McFarland and the speaker will be Brother Dale McFarland.
The public is invited to attend. There will be a business meeting following the Memorial Service.

Dexter, Missouri - The Stoddard County Nutrition Center will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018 for Memorial Day.
Tuesday, May 29th they will have baked chicken, green beans, potatoes, biscuit, and fruit.
Wednesday, May 30th they will serve Chef salad (ham), raw radishes, crackers, and brownies.
Thursday, May 31st they will have Swiss Steak over brown rice, corn, seasoned broccoli, roll, and cookie.
Friday, June 1st they will have chicken tenders or catfish, green beans, corn bread, and birthday cake.

Dexter, Missouri - The National Wild Turkey Federation Hunting Heritage Banquet will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Dexter Elks Lodge located at 325 Two Mile road.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.
The events of live and silent auctions have been revamped from years past. Raffles for guns and prizes are a great way to help support the organization and possibly take home a cool prize.
Price at the door is $45 for single ticket, $60 for couples and $10 for JAKES; which includes a one year membership to the NWTF Turkey Country magazine. Children 6 and under are free.

Bernie, Missouri - The Bernie Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Tuesday market beginning May 22nd and ending on September 4th.
Season Pass to set up is $25 or get a Day to Day Pass for $5 each time.
All products are locally grown/produced. There will be fruits, vegetables, baked goods, organic foods, honey and jams and more!
Times are 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. each Tuesday at the Bernie City Park.

Bloomfield, Missouri - The annual JAKES Event will be held on June 2, 2018 at the Holly Ridge Conservation Area.
This year they have a special guest, British Labrador, who will demonstrate the art of retrieving.
Also Brad Watkins will discuss fur trapping.
Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the fun begins at 8:00 a.m. The kids will wrap up around 11:30 a.m. for lunch and a special speaker. The event should be over around noon.
The Missouri Department of Conservation will be in attendance again this year with trap shooting, archery, and turkeyology 101.
The Crowley's Ridge Blackpowder Club will also demonstrate the art of making fire with flint, axe throwing, and will have the candy cannon.
