In Loving Memory of Glen Ayers
Glen Ayers was born in Adamsville, Tennessee on March 6, 1934 to Jesse Ayers and Velma Nix-Ayers. He was married to Mary Louise Roberts on October 30, 1953 in St. Louis, Mo. Together, they had two daughters.

Glen worked in St. Louis, Mo at Johnson Foil until 1967 when he and his family moved to Bloomfield, Mo. He bought and ran the Bloomfield Drive in for 11 years. During this time, he also owned and operated a shoe store and grocery store. He also served as alderman and mayor of Bloomfield for a period of time.  In 1980, he and Mary moved back to St. Louis.  He returned to work at Johnson Foil where he would later retire from.  After retirement, he spent over 20 years volunteering in different ministries.

At the time of his passing, Glen was a beloved father of two, grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 7, and great-great grandfather great-uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend of many.

Glen is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Ayers of St. Louis, Mo.; by two daughters, Glenda (Larry) Fortner of Dexter, Mo and Sharon Ayers of Jefferson City, Mo.; by 6 grand children, Chris (Crystal) Fortner of Dexter, Mo., David (Jodi) Fortner of Dexter, Mo., Lisa (James) Childers of Dexter, Mo., John (Evie) Fortner of Dexter, Mo., Cheryl Fortner of Dexter, Mo., and Hannah Fortner of Dexter, Mo.; by 7 great-grand children; by one great-great grandson; by countless other family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 4-7 at Kutis Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 7 at Kutis Funeral Home.

Glen will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:30 at the Bloomfield Cemetery.

Services will be conducted by long-time friend, Wendy Sapp at Kutis Funeral Home.
