In Loving Memory of Aaron Michael Hewitt
Aaron Michael Hewitt, age 34, formerly of Dexter, died Friday, July 8 2016 at his residence in Rockwall, Texas.

Born July 16, 1981 in Sikeston, the son of Cynthia (Coffey) Hewitt of Sikeston and the late James Lee Hewitt. He worked in the sales department for Elite Roofing in San Antonio and was a talented singer.

In addition to his mother, Aaron is survived by two daughters, Savannah Grace Hewitt and Jaidyn Faith Hewitt both of Oxford, Arkansas; one brother, Josh Hewitt of Sikeston; one sister, Sarah Boyle of Sikeston; paternal grandmother, Margaret Hewitt of Morehouse, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Coffey of Sikeston; aunt, Sheila Coffey Townsend of Las Vegas, Nevada; uncle, Jeff Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana; aunt and uncle, Jim & Susan Chadd of Sikeston; one niece and three nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alma Coffey; and uncle, Steven Coffey.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date.

In Loving Memory of Billy West Aycock

Billy West Aycock, son of the late Robert and Pauline West Aycock, was born on May 19, 1944 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on July 10, 2016 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 72.

Mr. Aycock was a Veteran of the United States National Guard. He was a farmer and a partner in the Sandy Ridge Cotton Company,  a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and also former resident of Dexter.

On February 18, 1966, he was united in marriage to June Lape in Morley, Missouri.  Mrs. Aycock survives of the home.

Besides his wife, Mr. Aycock is survived by two sons, West Aycock of St. Louis and Neil Aycock and wife Lindsay of Cape Girardeau;  by two grandchildren, Landen and Eli Aycock and one niece, Joy Aycock of Memphis, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Aycock and by one sister, Mary Jane Aycock.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A. M. 

A Memorial Service will then be conducted Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 A. M..

In Loving Memory of Jack William Short

Jack William Short, son of the late George William Short and Betty Sue (Swinger) Hall was born July 6, 1968 in St. Louis and departed this life July 7, 2016 at the age of 48 years. Jack married Kimberly Jo Peterson on March 5, 1988.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Short, of Kennett; one son, Coby Jo Short of Kennett; father-in-law, Bob Peterson of Kennett; sister-in-law, Kathy Rogers and husband, Brian, of Kennett; aunts and uncles, Nancy and Mike Ross of Kennett, Mary and Don Davis of Kennett, Randy and Connie Swinger of Williamsville, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Drake and Magen Daniels of Kennett, Abbigail Daniels of Jonesboro, Grant and Holly Rodgers of Springfield, Mo.; five cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Jack was preceded in death by one son, William Garrett Short.

He was the owner and operator of Bootheel Ag Air Services, LLC.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church Christian Life Center in Kennett.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3 p.m. July 10, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary in Kennett with Rev. Jeff Long and Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kennett Educational Foundation/Athletic Fund.

In Loving Memory of Norma L. Davis

Norma Lea Davis, 78, of Advance, passed away July 7, 2016 at her home.  She was born on December 15, 1937, the daughter of John and Zora Lea Perrigan Dixon.

Norma had been a homemaker.  She was a member of the Dexter First Baptist Church. She was the ultimate St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Norma and Floyd Davis were united in marriage on June 4, 1955 at Jackson, MO and he survives of the home.

Survivors include: her husband; Floyd Davis of Advance, two daughters; Pamela (Perry) Jolliff of Dexter and Lea Ann (Tim) Clark of Dexter, five brothers; Jim Dixon of Patton, John Dixon of Sikeston, Don Dixon of Sikeston, Ted Dixon of Perryville and Joe Dixon of Temple, TX, a sister; Linda Webster of Fort Worth, TX, four grandchildren; Brent Irwin of Advance, Haylee Githens of Poplar Bluff,  Blake Clark of Dexter and Selena Irwin, six great-grandchildren; Kendall Githens, Trystan Kurz, Lexi Irwin, Kasen Clark, Karleigh Muscgrave and Mila Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister; Brenda Eakin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday July 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.  A funeral service will be held on Monday July 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. Don Kennedy officiating.  Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.

In Loving Memory of Ed Ellis

Ed Ellis, son of the late Bill Ellis and Pearl Dowdy Ellis was born on June 29, 1924 in Parma, Missouri and passed away July 6, 2016 at his residence in Parma at the age of 92.

Mr. Ellis was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a farmer, attended the Lilbourn General Baptist Church and was a resident of Parma.

He was united in marriage to Alma Stevens on June 26, 1943 in Parma.  Mrs. Ellis preceded him in death on December 8, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Ellis of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Randy and wife Michelle Ellis of Oakland, Illinois and Keith and wife Leslie Ellis of Charleston, Missouri; by four daughters, Sue Claubuesch of Mount Dora, Florida, Phyllis and husband Mike Reinbott of Parma, Patsy and husband Joe Howell of Marston, Missouri and Lois and husband Jim Shoemate of Clarksville, Tennessee; by one sister, Norma Hoskins of Morehouse, Missouri; by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Ellis, by one granddaughter, Cindy Green; by three brothers, Paul Ellis, Billy Ellis and Dale Ellis, and by two sisters, Daisy Breece and Margarete Baker.

Friends may call at the Lilbourn General Baptist Church in Lilbourn on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Lilbourn General Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Lambert and Rev. Martin Goode officiating.
