Ed Ellis, son of the late Bill Ellis and Pearl Dowdy Ellis was born on June 29, 1924 in Parma, Missouri and passed away July 6, 2016 at his residence in Parma at the age of 92.

Mr. Ellis was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a farmer, attended the Lilbourn General Baptist Church and was a resident of Parma.

He was united in marriage to Alma Stevens on June 26, 1943 in Parma.  Mrs. Ellis preceded him in death on December 8, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Ellis of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Randy and wife Michelle Ellis of Oakland, Illinois and Keith and wife Leslie Ellis of Charleston, Missouri; by four daughters, Sue Claubuesch of Mount Dora, Florida, Phyllis and husband Mike Reinbott of Parma, Patsy and husband Joe Howell of Marston, Missouri and Lois and husband Jim Shoemate of Clarksville, Tennessee; by one sister, Norma Hoskins of Morehouse, Missouri; by eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Ellis, by one granddaughter, Cindy Green; by three brothers, Paul Ellis, Billy Ellis and Dale Ellis, and by two sisters, Daisy Breece and Margarete Baker.

Friends may call at the Lilbourn General Baptist Church in Lilbourn on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Lilbourn General Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Lambert and Rev. Martin Goode officiating.
