They took a moment to visit with the Bloomfield Elementary Color Guard. These 4th grade students are dedicated to raising and lowering the American Flag on the Bloomfield school campus each day.

Elizabeth Meyer and Justin Zink joined the National Guard this past summer and will graduate in May at Bloomfield High School.

Adrianna Gensler is a senior at Bloomfield High School and is the daughter of Woodrow and Dana Gensler.
Tyler Battles is also a senior at Bloomfield High School and is the son of Michael and Kristie Battles.
Adrianna and Tyler are competing with honorees from the other Stoddard County schools for the Dexter Elks Students of the Year.
Both students, along with their parents and counselor, Sara Holloway, will be honored with a banquet to be held at the Dexter Elks Lodge later next spring.
The Elks Students of the Year will be announced at the spring banquet.
Fayette, Missouri – Central Methodist University has announced its graduating Class of 2015, according to President Roger Drake. Over 700 students participated in Commencement exercises in Fayette, Park Hills, Sedalia, and St. Louis.
Matthew Pulley of Bloomfield has graduated from CMU in the Online Program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Marie Marquis of Bloomfield has graduated from CMU in Poplar Bluff with a Bachelor of Accountancy.
Teryl Smith of Dexter graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy from CMU in Poplar Bluff.
“CMU graduates include students from its main campus in Fayette, branch sites across the state, or from its online programs,,” Drake said.
Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers masters, bachelors and associates degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette and through extension sites located across Missouri and online.
Students who earned a "1" rating are qualified to go to Columbia on May 1, 2015 and perform at the State Music Festival.
Gabe Waters earned a one rating on Bass Clarinet with his solo.
Gabe Waters, Tyler Hood, Ashley Angel, and Lauren Tippen earned a one rating with their Percussion Ensemble.
Caroline Robison earned a one rating with her Flute Solo.
Allison Statler earned a one rating for both her Flute Solo and her Violin Solo.
Riley Burns played a Clarinet Solo earning a one rating and Rebecca Wood earned a one rating with her Tenor Saxophone Solo.
