Kenneth Wayne Hurley

Kenneth Wayne Hurley, son of John Hurley of Canalu, Missouri and the late Hazel I. Hinkley Hurley, was born on May 20, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on December 2, 2014 in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 54.

Mr. Hurley had worked as a farm hand for Paul Clary Farms and was a resident of Bloomfield.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Tyler Hurley and Zachary Hurley, both of Kansas City, Missouri; by two daughters, Ashley Hurley and Olivia Hurley, both of Kansas City, Missouri; by two brothers, Keith Hurley of Canalu, Missouri and Kevin Hurley of Dyer, Tennessee; by two sisters, Mandy Clary of Bloomfield and Sheila Metcalf of Bell City; and by three grandchildren, Mathew Muck, Aubrey Muck and Jared Muck.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, December 5, 2014 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Bloomfield, Missouri

Brenda J. Stuckey

Brenda J. Stuckey, daughter of the late Herron and Velma Gaylord, was born on May 15, 1944 in Stoddard County, Missouri and departed this life on December 1, 2014 at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 70.

Mrs. Stuckey was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She was a lifelong educator, a high school teacher for twelve years in New Madrid, Missouri and for twenty-seven years in Little Rock, Arkansas.

On August 23, 1983, she was united in marriage to Don Stuckey in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Mr. Stuckey survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Emily Curtis of Ashburn, Virginia; by one sister, Myra Riddle of Cherokee, Alabama; and by two brothers, Barry Gaylord of Cherokee, Alabama and Randy Gaylord of Essex, Missouri.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.

Araceli Shelly Kuhnell

Araceli "Shelly" Kuhnell, daughter of the late Carlos Bustos and Maria Cabello Bustos, was born on April 18, 1958 in Laredo, Texas and departed this life on December 1, 2014 at her residence in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 56.

Ms. Kuhnell was of the Catholic faith and had worked as a forklift driver at Cott Beverage Company in Sikeston. 

She is survived by her companion, Janice Riggins of the home; by two sons, Chad Riggins of Morehouse, Missouri and Brad (Ashley) Riggins of Sikeston, Missouri; by one brother, August (Libby) Bustos of DeSoto, Texas; by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlie and Nadine Hendrix of Puxico, Missouri; by one brother-in-law, Travis Riggins of Morehouse, Missouri; by one sister-in-law, Mitzi Riggins of Dexter, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Chad Riggins II, Hailey Riggins, Jeremiah Riggins, Alexander Riggins and Elijah Riggins; and by many other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery.

Vivian Nadine Adkins
Vivian Nadine Adkins, daughter of the late Luther Lee and Nora Alice Riddle Brown, was born in Bernie, Missouri, on December 19, 1916, and passed away at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on December 1, 2014, at the age of 97 years, 11 months, and 12 days.

Mrs. Adkins had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the White Oak Grove General Baptist Church and had attended Friendship Baptist in Dexter, Missouri.

On July 31, 1932, she was married to Raymond V. Adkins in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1982.

Surviving are one son, Jim Adkins of Dexter; one daughter, Judy Gregory of Dexter; four grand children; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Brown of Poplar Bluff, and Jerry Brown of Dexter. 

Other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may visit Thursday, December 4, 2014, after 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Lonnie Mittag of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment with be in the Smith Stevenson Cemetery near Dexter, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Smith Stevenson Cemetery, c/o Jessima Walker, 13457 CR 670, Dexter, MO 63841.

Michael Scott Colove, son of Terry Colove of Dexter and Sandy Clark of California was born on May 17, 1979 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on November 28, 2014 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 35 years.

Michael was a self-employed commercial carpenter in the surrounding area of Southeast Missouri. 

Besides his parents, survivors include one son, Eli Michael Colove of Sikeston, Missouri; three daughters, Kaidence Lorane Colove, Ariana Marie Colove and Gracie Mae Colove all of Dexter; by two brothers, Steven Hobb of California and David Jacob Colove of Dexter; one sister, Ronna Hays of California; and by his paternal grandfather, Bill Colove of Jackson, Missouri.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 2, 2014. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating.
