Lucille White


Lucille White, daughter of the late William Campbell Starr and Clara Rebecca McCarroll Starr, was born on April 16, 1913, in Shurm, Arkansas, and passed away on March 19, 2013, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 99.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and a loving mother.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and had been very active in the Marston Methodist Church, the Marston Senior Citizens Center and various civic organizations in Marston.  She was a resident of Dexter formerly of Marston.

She was united in marriage to William Eugene White on October 29, 1932, in Powhatan, Arkansas, and they resided in Marston for many years.  Mr. White preceded her in death on March 4, 1975.

She is survived by one son, William Thomas White, and his wife, Cindy, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one daughter, Mary Ruth Boone, and her husband, Bill, of Dexter, Missouri; and by four grandchildren, Lauren White, Thomas White, Andrew Boone and Afton Boone.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by one son, William Edward White; by one daughter, Edna Kathryn White; by four brothers, Claude Starr, Elmo Starr, John Starr and Millard Starr; and by one sister, Virginia Rickman.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 24, 2013, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Howard Kirby officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery at New Madrid, Missouri.
