Myrul Jean Pullum

Myrul Jean Pullum, daughter of Willie Whitehead and Nellie Mae Loyd, was born in Bernie, Missouri, on January 24, 1936, and passed away in Sikeston, Missouri on December 6, 2011, at the age of 75.

She had lived in Essex, Missouri most all of her life. She loved reading her Bible, spending time with her family and working in her garden.

On September 12, 1952 she was married to Oscar Leo Pullum in Bernie, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband Oscar Leo Pullum of Essex, Missouri; four sons: Leon Pullum of Bloomfield, Missouri, Richard Pullum of Essex, Missouri, James and Tony Pullum both of Dexter, Missouri, and one daughter: Kathy Miller of Portageville, Missouri; by  fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters; Lucille Herron, Rose Landry, Mary Daniels, and Nina Wolfe and five brothers, Tom Trammel, Jerry Trammel, Robert Trammel, Denny Trammel, and Ricky Trammel. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Duncan and one brother, Bill Trammel.

Friends may visit on Thursday, December 8, 2011, after 5 p.m., at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Willer of Whitewater, Missouri.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
