2022 Dexter High School Sports Senior Night Featuring Rachel Lin

Dexter, MO - The Dexter High School honored senior boys basketball athletes, cheer, and dance on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Bearcat Event Center.

Rachel Lin is the daughter of Min Lin.

 She is a member of the Bearcat Cheerleading Team and has lettered all four years of high school

Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia and major in Health Professions and minor in Business.

Her most memorable moment at Dexter High School was when she found her eyelashes on Grace Sepulvado's arm!

She is a member of the basketball cheerleading team and is a four-year letterman.

Her future plans are to attend Arkansas State University - Jonesboro and will major in Ag Business.

Her most memorable moment at Dexter High School was having her mom as one of the cheer coaches.

Dexter, MO - The Dexter High School honored senior boys basketball athletes, cheer, and dance on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Bearcat Event Center.

Alisandra Calonne is the daughter of Leigh Ann and Troy Burns.

She is a member of the Kickin' Cats Dance Team and is a three-year letterman.

Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University and major in Special Education Teaching.

Her most memorable moment at Dexter High School was embarrassing herself at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament by dancing with some of the dance team behind Carson to Baby Lock Them Doors.

Natalie Bolin is the daughter of Craig and Kim Bolin.

Her future plans are to attend Arkansas State University and major in nursing.

Her most memorable moment at Dexter High School was dancing at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament and having to shave Delaney Lemmons armpits with scissors before going to dance at halftime.

Regular Board Meeting Notes for February 15, 2022

Call to Order/Roll Call/Pledge:  

The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members, with Mr. Herman Morse being absent.  The Board President leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Consent Agenda:  The consent agenda was approved.

Public Comments:  We had one registered guest.  This guest did not attend attend the meeting.   

Old Business:  There was no old business.  

New Business: 

A.  The board approved budget amendments for the month of February.   

B.  The board approved the summer dead period for MSHSAA activities.  The dates of the dead period are: July 30th-August 7th.        

C.  The board approved the therapy service contracts for the 22-23 school year.

D.  The board approved the lawn care bid from Bryan Pennington for a 3 year term beginning with the 22-23 school year.    

Discussion Items: The following items were discussed with the board:

A. Building board reports were shared for Southwest Elementary, Central Elementary, T.S. Hill Middle School, and Dexter High School.  

B.  The monthly nursing report was shared with the board.

D.  The next regular board meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2022  

In Closed Session:  

The board approved the hiring of the following substitute teachers for the 21-22 school year: Natalie Sitze

The board approved hiring of the following individuals for the 21-22 school year pending favorable background checks and appropriate certification:

        Jamie Dona - Volunteer Pole Vault Coach.  

       Christina Smith - Paraprofessional at Central Elementary.  

The board approved the transfer of the following individuals for the 22-23 school year pending appropriate certification:

Heather Waddle - Central Elementary Title Math, replacing A. Whiteman.

Brooke Dodson - Central Elementary 3rd Grade, replacing H. Waddle.  

The board approved hiring of the following individuals for the 22-23 school year pending favorable background checks and appropriate certification.

        Taylor Bryeans - 6th Grade ELA.

        David Mayberry - 7th Grade Science.

        Brad Hahn - HS Math.  

        Danielle Landers Patch - 3rd Grade. 

The board approved hiring Jennifer Bolin and Terry Bryeans as the Intern Assistant Summer School Director (position will be split) for the 

for the 2022 summer session. 

The board approved the following resignations/retirements for the 2021-2022 school year: 

Chassi Zook - Resignation effective 2/11/2022.  

The board approved an early graduation due to a special circumstance. 

The board approved the employment of Gavin Miller and voted to extend the contract through the 23-24 school year.  

The board approved the employment of Jessica Lambert and voted to extend the contract through the 23-24 school year.  

The board approved the employment of all building principals, assistants, and the athletic director through the 22-23 school year.
