Donald Clay Bryant, son of Judy Holsapple Lee and Dennis Lee of Dexter, Missouri and Kenneth Bryant of Mobile, Alabama, was born on January 31, 1972, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on January 21, 2025, at his residence in Advance, Missouri, at the age of 52 years.
Mr. Bryant worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, football, playing on his traveling men’s softball team, and taking care of Shannon’s chickens.
On March 10, 2020, in Jackson, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Shannon Corlew Nelson. Mrs. Bryant survives of their home in Advance.
Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter, Abbey Ellis and husband Jaycob of Dexter, Missouri; by two step-sons, Samuel Nelson and Nathan Nelson both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by his step-daughter, Erin Nelson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by his brother, Jason Bryant of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Debbie Wilkerson and husband Andy of Puxico, Missouri, and Robin Stuckey and husband Denver of Benton, Missouri; by his half-sister, Amber Bryant of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and by his granddaughter, Grayson Ellis.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Stevens officiating.

Larry James Sneed, son of the late Clyde Sneed Sr. and Avis Crain Sneed, was born on March 30, 1940, in Painton, Missouri, and departed this life on January 20, 2025, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 84 years surrounded by his family.
Mr. Sneed was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a former trackman for Union Pacific Railroad, retiring with 33 years of service, and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. He enjoyed watching sports and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and he loved his family and grandchildren.
On March 8, 1963, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Wanda Riddle. Mrs. Sneed survives of their home in Dexter.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, James Sneed and wife Gina of Dexter, Missouri; by his daughter, Leigh Ann Williams and husband Randy of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Darci Sneed (Megan) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Justin Sanders of Franklin, Indiana, Steven Carrillo (Caitlin) of Essex, Missouri, Tyler Carrillo of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Allison Sneed of Dudley, Missouri, Mia Williams of Dexter, Missouri and Korbin Williams of Dexter, Missouri; and by seven great grandchildren, Aiden Sanders, Cannon Carrillo, Remington Sneed, Henley Sanders, Calista Carrillo, Harper Sanders, and Cruz Carrillo
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Sneed Jr., Jerry Sneed, Ray Sneed, and David Sneed; and by two sisters, Rosemary Sneed and Marilyn Sneed.

Norman T. (Trey) Fortner III, son of Kathy Allstun Fortner of Dexter, Missouri, and the late Norman Thomas Fortner II, was born on June 6, 1997, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on January 16, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 27 years.
Trey attended Dexter Public Schools and graduated from Annapolis High School, he was an employee of Republic Services in Dexter, Missouri and a resident of Dexter. He enjoyed deer hunting.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his brother, Dustin Hadley of Dexter, Missouri; by his aunt, Candy Waggoner Miller of Dexter, Missouri; and by his cousins and many friends.
Other than by his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Martha Louise Allstun; and by his paternal grandmother, Louise Waggoner.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Armstead Dowdy Cemetery.

Nancy Ann Menley, daughter of the late Fred Eaton and Madge Harper Eaton, was born on August 12, 1940, in Clines Island, Missouri, and departed this life on January 17, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 84 years.
Mrs. Menley was a former seamstress for Elders Manufacturing in Dexter, Missouri. She was a member of Castor River General Baptist Church and a former resident of Aquilla, Missouri. She enjoyed raising flowers, camping, sewing and crafting.
On November 17, 1961, in Clines Island, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Farrell Menley. Mr. Menley preceded her in death on November 6, 2020.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Menley and wife Barbara of Jonesboro, Arkansas; by her daughter, Teresa Hattenhauer and husband Cliff of Loredo, Arkansas; by three grandchildren, Meghan Allen and husband Mikey, Dalton Menley and wife Samantha, and Morgan Barr and husband Cameron; and by one great-grandson, Jaxson Allen.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Brenda Cox, daughter of the late Bobby D. Barrett and Correene Sitton Barrett, was born on December 7, 1951, in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 17, 2025, at Mercy Stoddard County Hospital in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Cox was a former clerk for Stovall’s in Dexter, JC Penney Catalog Store and Wal-Mart in Malden, Missouri. She enjoyed bowling and softball in her younger years. She was an avid Cardinals fan and loved attending games as often as she could. She had yearly trips with her friend Jan Shuffler. One of her favorite places was Destin, Florida.
On March 25, 1978, in Dexter, Missouri, she united in marriage with Leslie F. Cox. Mr. Cox preceded her in death on April 17, 2005.
She is survived by one brother, Robert Barrett and his wife, Christine of Bloomfield, Missouri; one sister, Donna South and her husband James of Dexter, Missouri; sister-in-law, Cathy Starnes and her husband Gary of Dexter, Missouri; brother-in-law, Floyd Cox, Jr. of Edgewater, Florida; nieces and nephews, Amber Starnes, Ashley Starnes, April Wamble, James Adam South, and Amy Kay South; great-nieces, Scarlett South, Kaycee Wamble, and Maycee Wamble.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Lynn Barrett.
