Scott McRoy son of the late Charles Richard McRoy and Shirley Sandusky McRoy was born on March 3, 1967 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on December 27, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 57.
Scott had helped his father at McRoy Kennels and was a resident of Dexter. Scott enjoyed to fish, hunt, and antique trains. He also enjoyed to tinker with lawn mowers and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Scott is survived by his sister Angie Ortt and husband Ken of Dexter, Missouri; by two nieces, Ashley Soles of Kansas City, Missouri and Chasity Carlson and husband Matthew of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; by his nephew, Eric Ortt and wife Keara of Lexington, Kentucky; and by his great-nephew, Owen Davis of Lexington, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brad Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy cemetery in Dexter.

Edward Jan Biehler of Bernie, Missouri was born in Mattoon, Illinois on January 22, 1958 and departed this life at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County, Dexter, MO, on December 28, 2024 at the age of 66.
Mr. Biehler was in food services, having worked for Louis Bakeries, Hostess, and Schwan’s. He was a resident of Bernie, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Linda Lou Edwards, having shared 48 years together before her death in 2022.
Survivors include one son, Josh Biehler of Bernie and His girlfriend, Sashity Goss; by one sister, Janet Boyer who is serving as a missionary in Africia; also by one grandson, Charles Dean Goss; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his wife, by two brothers, Chris Biehler and One stillborn; by one sister, Kathy Chorus.

Edith Kay Dougherty, daughter of the late Bunkie Franklin Canady and Versie Mae Henson Canady, was born on April 13, 1960, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on December 28, 2024, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 64 years.
Mrs. Dougherty was a homemaker, a member of Jesus Name Apostolic United Pentecostal Church in Piedmont, Missouri, and a resident of Mill Spring, Missouri. She enjoyed working puzzles, picking pecans, and taking care of people, she was always helping behind the scenes. She loved working outside and gardening.
On August 26, 2022, in Mill Spring, Missouri, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Dougherty Sr. Mr. Dougherty survives of their home in Mill Spring.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tonya Foster and husband Bill of Grandview, Missouri, and Ginger Haws and husband Jamie of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, John Canady of Benton, Missouri, and Bobby Canady and wife Tina of Oran, Missouri; by two sisters, Lisa Graviett of Oran, Missouri, and Tammy Belt and husband Tim of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Schott.
Visitation will be held at Dexter First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, Missouri on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at Dexter First Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Will Dougherty III officiating. Interment will follow in New Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.

Larry Wayne Brown, son of the late Melvin Riley Brown and Marie Putnam Brown was born on June 9, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan and departed this life on December 29, 2024 at the Campbell Healthcare and Senior Living Center in Campbell, Missouri at the age of 80.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the United States Army and National Guard. He had worked for General Motors while he lived in Michigan, when he moved to Missouri he worked as a Bernie police officer and also worked security for Securitas. He was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed carpentry. He liked watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball with his wife, he enjoyed telling a good story, and also painted cars.
On June 26, 1962, he was united in marriage to Barbara “Sue” Sontag in Pontiac, Michigan. Mrs. Brown preceded him in death on February 25, 2022.
He is survived by his son, Jamey Brown and wife Tina of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Betty Dalton of Pontiac, Michigan; by six grandchildren, Christina Orr of Dexter, Amanda Hopkins of Birmingham, Alabama, Laci Eaton, of Dexter, Steve Kirkpatrick, Jason Williams and Trevor Williams of Bernie, Missouri; and by sixteen great-grandchildren, Payton Kirkpatrick, Piper Kirkpatrick, Jase Kirkpatrick, Rylee Eaton, Ryan Eaton, Brynlee Pence, Taylor Williams, Jaelyn Williams, Nicholas Williams, Nolan Williams, Nora Williams, Reese Williams, Zayn Williams, Lynnie Williams, Xander Moore, and Noah Kirkpatrick.
Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Brown Jr., by two daughters, Yolanda Kincy, and Carol Marie Williams; by his brother, Bill Brown; by his sister, Bonnie Musgraves; and by his grandson, Ben Kirkpatrick.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri. Funeral services will then be conducted on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Pastor Mike Chance officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.

Norris “Bud” Temples Jr., son of the late Norris Temples Sr. and Lucille Thrower Temples, was born on May 28, 1938, in Dudley, Missouri, and departed this life on January 1, 2025, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.
Mr. Temples was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was the former owner of Temples Auction Service and a former Stoddard County Presiding Commissioner. He was a member of Wings of Mercy Church in Dudley, Missouri, and a resident of Dudley.
On October 30, 1964, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Shipman. Mrs. Temples preceded him in death on July 16, 2006.
He is survived by his son, Aaron Lee Temples of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, Clifford Temples and wife Jo of Dudley, Missouri, and Gary Temples and wife Terry of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Carolyn Sue Sadler and husband Alvin of St. Charles, Missouri; by two grandsons, Jamie Durham and Josh Durham; by five great-granddaughters, Destiny Durham (CJ Greene), Alexis Durham (Marcellus Fleming), Zoey Durham, Heidi Durham, and Aubrey Camden, and by his great-great granddaughter, Harmony Fleming.
Other than by his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald D. Temples, Darren Len Temples and Donald Lee Temples; and by two sisters, Barbara Taylor and Lorene Brown.
