
Brenda Gail Hatley, daughter of the late Thomas Burke and Ruby Evans Burke, was born on July 3, 1942, in Oran, Missouri, and departed this life on July 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage to Donald Hatley on May 16, 1963, in Benton, Missouri. They spent a loving and memorable 34 years together until his death on September 21, 1997.
She is survived by her son, Darren Hatley of New Madrid, Missouri; by three daughters, Robin Patterson and husband David of Bloomfield, Missouri, Bridget Harmon and husband Gary of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Natalie Frye and husband Robert of New Madrid, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Amanda Pyland, Levi Patterson, Logan Drew, Remington Drew, Ryland Frye, and Cyrus Frye; and by four great-grandchildren, Abby Pyland, Wyatt Pyland, Kylee Patterson, and Asher Patterson.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Burke, and by her beloved sister, Jo Susan Wallace.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held in the Old Morley Cemetery in Morley, Missouri on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Revalee Minton, daughter of the late Eugene Barker and Louise Corlies Barker, was born on April 25, 1931, in rural Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on July 7, 2021, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 90 years.
Mrs. Minton began her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse at Pyle R-9 in the mid 1950’s. She retired from teaching as a 4th grade teacher at Central Elementary in Dexter, after over 25 years in the Dexter School System. As a Dexter teacher, she was selected to learn Braille in order to assist a blind student. She taught every grade from 1st to 6th in that period to tutor that student.
Revalee was one of the founders of the Dexter Heritage Association and the Dexter Heritage Museum; and was instrumental in the renovation of the Dexter Heritage House. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also authored a multiple narrative book about the Pleasant Grove Community Church and Pyletown Community. Many people wrote and sent pictures about their own history and memories and were included in the book. She loved genealogy and preserving history for our future generations. And she especially loved her Church. She was also named the 1987 Farm Wife of the Year by SEMO Magazine.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Minton on December 22, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Minton preceded her in death on February 22, 2020.
She is survived by one son, Ken Minton and wife Blanchie of Dexter; by one daughter, Kay Barnes and husband Bobby of Bernie; by three grandchildren, Michelle Barnes, Michael Barnes, and Kyle Minton; by three great-grandchildren, Hunter Barnes, Melissa Barnes, and Adriana Minton; and by her sister, Marilyn Irvin of O’Fallon, Missouri.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Dale Minton; by her granddaughter, Melissa Sue Barnes; and by her sister, Barbara Davis.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Pierce officiating.
Interment will follow in Sycamore Cemetery.

Norma Jean Pyle, daughter of the late Floyd Underhill Sr. and Mary Ellen Wyatt Underhill, was born on June 11, 1944, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on July 6, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 77 years.
Mrs. Pyle was a former press operator for Elder Manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On August 23, 1999, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Junior Pyle. Mr. Pyle survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband Junior, she is survived by three sons, Marvin Wallace Jr. and wife Julie of Wichita, Kansas, Brian Pyle of Dexter, Missouri, and Joe Pyle and wife Leslie of Dexter, Missouri; by four daughters, Tammy Hoberecht and husband Troy of Wichita, Kansas, Tena Hughes and husband Michael of Wichita, Kansas, Sheila Haney and husband Mike of Dexter, Missouri, and Toni Davis and husband Tim of Sikeston, Missouri; by two brothers, Floyd Underhill Jr. and wife Belinda of Sikeston, Missouri, and C. H. Underhill and wife Ann of Columbus, Ohio; by two sisters, Sondra Cobb and Ruth Ann Underhill, both of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and by twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Michelle Bollinger.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Haney, Mike Haney, Tim Davis, Mike Hughes, Troy Hoberecht, and Joe Pyle.

David Duane Vaughn, son of Robyn Smith Vaughn and the late Gary Len Vaughn, was born on August 21, 1965, in Marion, Illinois, and departed this life on July 5, 2021, at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 55 years.
Mr. Vaughn was a Veteran of the United State Army, and he was a prison guard for the State of Illinois.
He is survived by his mother, Robyn Vaughn of Herrin, Illinois; by two sisters, Lisa Smith of The Villages, Florida and Joni Leah Frailey of Cookeville, Tennessee; by his significant other, Tresia Barnes; and by his beloved pet-dog, Rocky.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.

Jerrod Tyler “Cornbread” Plaskie, son of Crystal Plaskie Nall and the late Lonnie Cochran, was born on January 23, 1988, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on July 1, 2021, near Circle City, Missouri, at the age of 33 years.
On April 3, 2016, in Charleston, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Jamie Sadler.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie Plaskie of Oran, Missouri; by his mother and step-father, Crystal and Kevin Nall of Kirbyville, Missouri; by three sons, Braxton Plaskie of Sikeston, Missouri; Kastin Plaskie of Morehouse, Missouri, and Tylynn Plaskie of Sikeston, Missouri; by his brother, Brandon Cochran of Green Bay Wisconsin; by his sister, Stephanie Plaskie of Morehouse, Missouri; and by his nephew, Marcus Plaskie of Morehouse, Missouri.
A memorial service will be held in Morehouse, Missouri on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
