In Memory of Genevie Gaines
Genevie Gaines, daughter of the late Clarence Robinson and Eunice Sneed Robinson Hume, was born on September 6, 1925 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on April 2, 2019 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Gaines was an educator for 28 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dexter.

On May 22, 1944 in Piggott Arkansas she was united in marriage to Carl Gaines.  Mr. Gaines preceded her in death on September 8, 1998.

She is survived by four daughters, Melinda Dixon of Dexter, Missouri, Elinor Gaines of St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy Bonnett of Durango, Colorado, Pam Runyan and her husband Jesse of Gurdon, Arkansas; by five grandchildren, Dr. Nancy (John) Langley, Cathy (Dr. Michael) Clippard, John (Lecia) Dixon, Jennifer Runyan, and Kelly (Donny) Benson; by eight great-grandchildren, Sarah Catherine Langley, Noah Joseph Langley, Anna Catherine Clippard, William Andrew Clippard, Eli Jacob Michael Dixon, Owen Lane Dixon, Sally Joann Benson, and Jeffrey Sebastian Benson.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Crane and Colleen Brown; and by one son-in-law, Clyde Dixon.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Graveside services will then be conducted at the Dexter Cemetery on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Teddy Lee Kearbey
Teddy Lee Kearbey, age 61, died March 31, 2019 at his home in Dexter, Missouri.

Born June 4, 1957 in Lodie, California, he is the son of the Walter Dudley Kearbey Sr. and Viola Lucille Kearbey.

Teddy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter and had been a self-employed auto body repairman before retiring.

He was married to Glenda Jean Kearbey; she preceded him in death June 21, 2018.

He is survived by one son, Michael David Williams of Dexter, Missouri; and three brothers, Thomas Kearbey of Sikeston, Billy Kearbey of Colorado, and Bobby Kearbey of Arizona.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

In Memory of Robert Wayne Elsworth
Robert Wayne Elsworth, son of the late Chalmer Ray Elsworth and Doris Jean Boone Elsworth Noble, was born in St. Charles, Illinois on January 26, 1961 and departed this life at his residence in Malden, Missouri on March 31, 2019 at the age of 58.

Mr. Elsworth was an over the road Truck Driver and a resident of Malden.

Survivors include, two brothers, Reggie Elsworth of Malden, Missouri and Kevin Elsworth of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two sisters, Pamela Smith of Gideon, Missouri and Regina Carmickle of Earlville, Illinois; also by other relatives and friends.

No services are being planned at this time. 

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Lois Teets
Lois Teets, daughter of the late Lawrence Ewing Brown and Pearl Lane Brown, was born on January 5, 1931 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on April 1, 2019 in Gideon, Missouri at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. Teets was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.  She was a home-maker and a resident of Dexter.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Teets and his wife Sue of Arizona; by her daughter, Kim Williams and husband Rick of Dexter; by her sister, Glenda Holder of Dexter; by four grandchildren, Jennifer Teets, Christy Harrison, Sarah Beard and Cale Williams; by five great-grandchildren, Carson Williams, Eli Hunt, Delaney Hunt, MaKenna Simmons and Kyren Simmons and by one great-grandchild, Aminah Teets.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Ann Teets; by four brothers, Marvin Brown, Loyd Junior Brown, Ray Dean Brown and James Elvis Brown and by four sisters, Melba Atherton, Helen Taylor, Thelma Stevens Grobe and Wilma Renfro.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from NOON until 2:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lonny Mittag and Rev. Mike Watkins officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

In Memory of Tyler Maddox
Tyler Maddox, son of Bethany Stanberry Maddox of Grayridge and the late Kevin Maddox, was born on May 28, 1995 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on March 27, 2019 at his residence near Grayridge, Missouri at the age of 23 years.

Mr. Maddox was a former farm laborer with Conner Farms.  He was a 2014 graduate of Richland High School.

He is survived by his mother, Bethany; by his brother, Austin Maddox of Grayridge; by his sister, Mackenzie Maddox of Grayridge; by his paternal grandfather, Robert “Bob” Maddox of Grayridge; by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Cobb Cruse of Poplar Bluff; by his maternal great-grandmother, Martha Louise Stanberry; by his nephew, Kevin Lee Maddox; by two uncles, Steven Michael Cruse and Chad Maddox; by his aunt, Michelle Stanberry, by his cousins, Paige Stroud, Trey Appleton and Kenneth Stanberry; by his best friend, Jeremey Davis and his beloved dog, Roscoe.

Besides his father, Kevin, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Houston Stanberry; by his maternal grandmother, Mary Beth Haley; by his paternal great-grandparents, C. L. “Wig” and Vivian Maddox and by his maternal great-grandfather Houston Stanberry.
