In Memory of Vicky Lynn Helgemo

Vicky Lynn Helgemo of Dexter, daughter of the late James Earl Rodgers and Shirley Annette (Burnett) Rodgers was born on August 21, 1954, and departed this life at her home in Dexter, Missouri on October 16, 2018, at the age of 64 years.
Vicky was united in marriage to Larry Duane Helgemo on March 13, 1974 at Tiptonville, Tennessee. To this union was born one daughter, Amanda Lynn Helgemo of Dexter, Missouri.
Vicky was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She dedicated her life as a homemaker to her husband and daughter. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Helgemo of Dexter; one daughter; Amanda Helgemo of Dexter; four sisters and spouses, Darlene & Dickie Bodi of New Madrid, Kathy & Darrell Ritch of Grayridge, Christine & James Collier of Kewanee and Jamie & Eric Curd of Essex; her mother-in-law, Lois Helgemo of Waterford, Michigan . Several aunts, uncles, brother and sister's in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Shirley Rodgers of Essex and her father in law, Donald Helgemo of Waterford, Michigan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Doyle Burnett of Harrison, Arkansas and Bro. Darrell Burnett of Risco, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Michael Todd Burns

Michael Todd Burns was born on July 13, 1962 in Dexter, Missouri.
He left this life on October 15, 2018 at Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri, after battling a lengthy illness.
He is survived by both parents, Bob and Joy Burns of Dexter, Missouri. One sister Robin (David) Mitchell of McMinnville, Tennessee. One brother, Terry (Lisa) Burns of Crossville, Tennessee. Two sons, Dustin Burns and Dalton (Jess) Burns both of Dexter, Missouri. Three grandchildren, Lilly Burns, Vincent Burns, and Zayne Morgan all of Dexter. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug West officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hagy Cemetery.

In Memory of Connie Sue McCollough Pruitt

Connie Sue McCollough Pruitt, daughter of the late John McCollough and Lola Corlew McCollough was born on March 2, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on October 16, 2018 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri.
Mrs. Pruitt worked in Human Resources at Walmart in Dexter, Missouri for 30 years. She was a member of the Rivers of Life Church in Dexter.
She is survived by, two daughters, Christy Sindle (Danny) of Dexter and Melody Patrick (Joseph) of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Hanna Patrick, Brock Patrick, and Lauren Sindle; and one brother, Chuck McCollough of Arizona.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. (Noon).
A Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating.

In Memory of Julie Marie Hisaw

Julie Marie Hisaw, of Dexter, was born in Atkins, Arkansas on April 26, 1943, the last of seven children, to Dolan and Tennie (Hayes) Frost, and entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, October 14, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
No stranger to hard work, Julie spent much of her youth working in the cotton fields of northern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri. Julie obtained her license as a beautician. Julie also worked as a certified nursing aide and as a general laborer in several factories prior to her retirement. Julie enjoyed providing love and attention to her pets, visiting with friends and family, playing piano, and attending church.
Julie married Glendale E. Hisaw on August 22, 1974. Julie was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Charles E. "Chuck" Davis. At the time of her passing, Julie was an active member of Rivers of Life Ministries in Dexter, where she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and followed Him in baptism in 2015. Julie was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings: Bill Frost, Charlotte Randolph, Eva Dean Jones, John Frost and Vivian Beard.
Julie is survived by her husband, Glen Hisaw, of the home in Dexter; one son and daughter-inlaw, Chuck and Brenda Davis of Vienna; one sister and brother-in-law, Lula Belle & B.A.
McGuire, of Dexter; her nieces and nephews; her church family at Rivers of Life Ministries; and her many friends. As Julie enjoys eternity with her Savior, fond and precious memories will bring comfort to the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed immediately by funeral services, will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. A graveside service will be conducted at Little Flock Cemetery, 10218 Maries Road 332, Vienna, MO, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 1:00 PM.
Memorial donations are requested to Charles Davis, 550 First Street, Vienna, MO 65582, to assist the family with funeral expenses.

In Memory of Doris Dell Glass

Doris Dell Glass, daughter of the late August John Fred Mekan and Ollie Bell Grimm Mekan, was born in Dexter, Missouri on May 31, 1936 and departed this life at her residence in Bernie, Missouri on October 14, 2018 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Glass worked at Brown Shoe Company in Bernie and later at MO Industries of Dexter. She attended First Assembly of God Church in Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Carl Gene Glass in June of 1954 at Bernie, Missouri. Mr. Glass preceded his wife in death on April 28, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Don Glass of Bell City, Missouri, Carlin Junior Glass and Timmy Lee Glass both of Bernie, Missouri; by four daughters, Sheila Ann Morris of Bernie, Sherry Jean Glass of Bernie, Terry Lynn Borders of Catron, and Carla Ruth Glass of Bernie; by three brothers, Doyle Mekan of Arnold, Missouri, Donald Mekan of St. Charles, Missouri and Gene Mekan of Bernie; by two sisters, Vivian Aungst and Wanda Stephens both of the state of Arizona; by ten Grandchildren and thirteen Great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by one son, Jimmy Dale Glass; by two brothers, Randy Mekan and August Mekan; by two granddaughters, Kamie Lynn Glass and Heather Michelle Morris.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie on October 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Joey Ruth officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
