In Memory of Rev. Jimmy D. Kirby

Rev. Jimmy D. Kirby, son of the late Charles Kirby and Grace Crites Kirby, was born on November 5, 1935 in Caruth, Missouri and departed this life on October 11, 2018 at Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 82 years.
Rev. Kirby was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and served as a pastor for 65 years in Dexter, Puxico, and Morley, Missouri and Dyersburg, Tennessee. For 52 years he served in Dexter, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing and mowing and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
On November 25, 1956, he was united in marriage to Barbara Parris in Dexter, Missouri. Mrs. Kirby survives of the home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by; two daughters, Tonya Dunning and husband Kevin of Humboldt, Tennessee and Sondra Sellers and husband J.R. of Kinston, North Carolina; by two sisters, Sharon Pruett of Dexter, Missouri and Verna Morris of Dexter, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Natalie Rhamy and husband Josh Rhamy, Kenderick Claybrooks, Kendra Claybrooks, and Kelsey and Orlanda Sellers; and by 3 great-grandchildren, Lydia Rhamy, Jaxon Rhamy and Kennedy Claybrooks.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00p.m. at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Don Sheerin, Rev. J.R. Sellers and Rev. Dale Holman officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
