
John R. Myers, Jr., son of the late Richard Myers and Ruby Burke Myers, was born on April 15, 1946 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on October 12, 2014 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 68.
Mr. Myers worked for Bootheel Petroleum for 40 years and leaves many friends there. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.
On December 21, 1968, he was married to Carol Brock. Mrs. Myers survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dennis R. Myers of St. Joseph, Missouri; by one daughter Melissa Backus and her husband Tim of Paducah, Kentucky; by three brothers, Marion “Bud” Myers and his wife Linda, Charles Leroy Myers and his wife Barbara and James Dale Myers, all of Dexter; by three sisters, Dora Ann May and Ruth Morgan of Dexter and Carolyn Sue Davis and her husband J. D. of Bloomfield, and by two grandchildren, Brandon Backus of Columbia, Missouri and Bradley Backus of Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Ray Rowland officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mitchell "Mitch" Calvin Conner, son of the late Calvin Granvil Conner and Betty Stoker Taylor of Dexter, was born on June 29, 1961 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on October 11, 2014 at his residence in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 53.
Mr. Conner worked as a network administrator at Associate Electric in New Madrid, Missouri and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Desert Storm. He loved traveling, riding motorcycles, learning to use computers, playing his saxophone and he especially loved his mother and sister.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Candy Conner of Dexter; by his step-mother, Mary Lou Conner of Circle City; and by three half-sisters, Tina Riggs of Bloomfield, Rhonda Tilly of Poplar Bluff and Shelly Clark of Circle City.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Mr. McNece had served in the United States Army during World War II, he had been self employed as an Over the Road Truck Driver until his retirement and was a member of Gulf Port Heights Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Sandusky at Piggott, Arkansas on June 10, 1946. Mrs. McNece preceded her husband in death on March 20, 2010.
Survivors include one son, Wendell Lee McNece of Oxford, Mississippi; by one daughter, Shirley Webb of Dixon, Illinois; by two brothers, Bud McNece and Keith McNece both of St. Louis, Missouri; by one sister, Helen McNece; by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents and his wife, by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wheetley owned and operated Wheetley Farms in Puxico. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Wappapello Crappie Club.
On September 13, 1974, he was married to Marvell Wheetley in Puxico, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Marvell Cookson of Puxico; two sons, Christopher Wheetley and Joe Wheetley, both of Puxico; his mother, Mildred Wheetley; three sisters, Susan Fouts of Puxico, Sharon Pope of Dudley, and Sandy Roberts of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wheetley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating.
Interment with be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leadley was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Dexter, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Vhoris Leadley in September of 1959. Mr. Leadley preceded her in death on April 20, 2010.
Mrs. Leadley is survived by one son, David C. Leadley of Joshua, Texas; by one daughter, Sondra Leadley of Dexter; by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie Brawley and Carlos Brawley and one sister, Susie Brawley.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 9:00 A. M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Roger Wooten officiating.
