Gregory Dean Jackson

Gregory Dean Jackson, son of the late John Willard and Eunice Louise Pledge Jackson, was born in Flint, Michigan on March 12, 1957, and passed away at his home in Dexter, Missouri on July 26, 2011, at the age of 54 years, 4 months and 14 days.
He had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of his life. He had worked as a farmer most of his life and recently as a dispatcher at the St. Jude Barge Company at Marston, Missouri.
Surviving are one daughter, Tracey Lynn Jackson of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Gentry John Jackson of Dexter, Missouri; four grandchildren; one sister, Sue Absher of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Gene Ray Jackson of Albany, Oregon. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 31, 2011, after 1 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Memorial services were held Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

He had lived in Dexter, Missouri most of his life. He had worked as a farmer most of his life and recently as a dispatcher at the St. Jude Barge Company at Marston, Missouri.

Conrad Alleman

Conrad W. Alleman, son of the late Thaddeus Alleman and Lillie Irene Hamilton-Alleman was born on October 17, 1917 in Middle Springs, PA, and passed away on July 29, 2011 at Crowley Ridge Care Center at the age of 93.
Conrad was united in marriage to Mary Lena Pippin on December 3, 1942, in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death on February 9, 1997. They began their life together in the St. Louis, MO area, and moved to Dexter in 1960.
Conrad co-owned Price Furniture and retired in 1988. He was a faithful Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, MO. He was a 65 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Scottish Right since 1974. Conrad was a man of family, and dedicated his life to enjoying his time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He was known to be a man of kindness and good humor.
Survivors include: a daughter, Constance “Connie” Parris and son-in-law Kenneth Parris, of Dexter, MO; a daughter, Colleen Nordhoff and son-in-law John Nordhoff, of The Colony, TX. Four grandchildren, Eric Parris and wife Tina of Dexter, MO; Jessica Parris of Dexter,MO; Johnna Nordhoff, and Janna Nordhoff of The Colony, TX. One great-grandchild, Erica Parris, of Dexter, MO. 3 brothers: Richard Alleman of Fayetteville, PA; Milton Alleman of Chambersburg, PA; Fredrick Alleman of Orrstown, PA. 4 sisters: Elizabeth Rebuck of Chambersburg, PA; Irene Byers of Fayetteville, PA; Anna Pugh of Chambersburg, PA; and Pauline Kline, of Fayetteville, PA.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Alleman and Leon Alleman; and three sisters Laura Bailey, Virginia Hutchison, and Mae Enetch.
Conrad was also survived by many family and friends.
Special thanks extended to the staff of Crowley Ridge Care Center for their loving care, and to Preferred Hospice staff for their exceptional services to Conrad and his family.
Services will be held this Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, MO. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. At 2 p.m., Masonic Rites will be given by Masonic Temple Dexter Lodge #532, funeral to follow, with Rev. Jimmy Kirby officiating. Interment follows at Chalk Bluff Cemetary, in Dexter, MO.

Colleen Campbell

Colleen Campbell, daughter of the late John Jesse and Naomi Nelda Smith Pulis, was born in Audrain County, Missouri on March 6, 1922, and passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Missouri on July 27, 2011, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 21 days.
She had lived in Mexico and St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Puxico, Missouri in 1947. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Puxico, the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7822 in Puxico. She was an RN, had trained as a nurse cadette in the U. S. Army, had been the school nurse for the Puxico Public Schools for 20 years, worked at the hospitals in Poplar Bluff and loved to read, play games, watch birds, gardening and her grandchildren.
On April 5, 1947, she was married to Herman Campbell in St. Louis, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Herman Campbell of Puxico, Missouri; daughter and spouse, Pam & Allen Parsley of Puxico, Missouri;two sons & spouse, Bruce & Barb Campbell of Puxico, Missouri, Randy Campbell of Dover, New Jersey; grandchildren and spouses, Jimmy & Jennifer Parsley, Jodi & John Walker, Ben & Jenny Campbell, Brittany & Matt Fox, J. R. & Melissa Campbell, Marcy Parsley; ten great grandchildren, Jacey, Mason, Emma, and Tommy Parsley, Hunter Walker, Gracie, Brylee, Brayden and Evan Campbell, Matti Fox; three sisters, Nelda Monk of Mexico, Missouri, Lila White of Paris, Missouri and Carol Bradley of Auxvasse, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jay Parsley, two brothers, James and Dale Pulis, four sisters, Vivian Gipson, Velma Bradley, Hazel Kable and Rosalind Haverstick.

Mrs. Bilderback was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. She loved to sew, cook and taking care of her family.
She was united in marriage to Earl C. Bilderback on December 22, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Bilderback preceded her in death on March 22 , 1995.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and wife Denise Bilderback of Columbia, Missouri; by one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and husband Dean Swallows of Dexter; by one brother, Charles Locke of Poplar Bluff; by seven grandchildren, Jerod and wife Amy Swallows of Puxico, Jeremy Swallows of Dexter, Brett Bilderback of Columbia, Missouri, Michelle and husband Brandon Willis of Columbia, Missouri, Michael and wife Bobbie Bilderbackof Ashland, Missouri, Christopher Bilderback of Columbia, Missouri and Heather Bilderback of Columbia, Missouri; by nine great-grandchildren, Gracie Swallows of Dexter, Caleb Swallows of Puxico, Darian Bilderback and Alexis Bilderback of Ashland, Missouri, Emma Willis and Audra Willis of Columbia, Missouri, Sierra Bilderback, Jennifer Bilderback and Aiden Freidin all of Columbia, Missouri.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one step daughter, Sherry Ellen Bilderback; by two brothers, Gene Locke and James Lewis and by two sisters, Doris Gaebler and Lois Marcell.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral chapel at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
