Otis Watts, son of the late Obe and Addie Kynion Watts, was born in Bell City, Missouri on August 20, 1923, and passed away at his home near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 21, 2011, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 1 days.

Mr. Watts had lived near Bloomfield, Missouri all his life. He had been a farmer all his life until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Garden Ridge General Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.

On October 22, 1945, he was married to Mary Dockery in Bloomfield, Missouri. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2005.

Surviving are one son, James Watts of Bloomfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Inez Abner of Bell City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 24, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Bill Fox of Bloomfield, Missouri and Rev. Harold Carter of Bernie, Missouri officiating.

Howard Orne, son of the late Alfred Orne and Bertha Carter Orne, was born on January 28, 1922 in Cushing, Maine and departed this life on June 20, 2011 at Parklane Rehab in Wentzville, Missouri at the age of 89.

Mr. Orne was a Veteran serving in World War II, was of the Baptist faith, a retired electronic technician for McDonnell- Douglas and a resident of Lake St. Louis.

On February 11, 1946, he was united in marriage to Louise Burnett at Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Orne preceded him in death on April 13, 1994.

He is survived by one son, Dennis Gray Orne of Lake St. Louis; by one brother, Kenneth Orne of Cushing, Maine, by five sisters, Berniece Bennett of Brewer, Maine, Eleanor Rose of Thomaston, Maine, Gloria Dearborn and JoAnn Butler both of Union, Maine, and Leona Mixon of Perry, Georgia, and by one grandchild.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Orne and by two sisters, Edith Johnson and Mary Greenlaw.

Paul L. Carlton, son of the late Carrie and Lige Carlton was born on October 20, 1921 in Fredericktown, Mo and departed from this life on June 21, 2011 at his home at the age of 89 years.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter.

Paul was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving as a Corporal, Weapons Company, Second Marines, 2nd Marine Division in World War II.

He was united in marriage to Mildred L. Medlin in 1947 at Piggott, Arkansas.

Mr. Carlton was a resident of Dexter most of his adult life, he owned an Auto Part business in Dexter for many years before retiring.

Surviving are his wife Mildred L. Carlton of their home in Dexter, one son Dennis Paul Carlton and daughter-in-law Wendy, and two grandchildren, Katey and Christopher Carlton of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, one sister, Clara Evans of Detroit, Michigan, and one brother, Joe Carlton of Florida, and well as other relatives and many friends.

Other than his parents, Carrie and Lige Carlton, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Millard Carlton, of Dexter, MO, Lloyd Carlton of Pontiac, Michigan and Gene Carlton of Apple Valley, CA.

One of Paul’s greatest pleasures that he always looked forward to were the visits they shared with their son Denny, daughter-in-law, Wendy and their two precious grandchildren Katey and Christopher. They were so very special to him.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m., at Rainey-Mathis Funeral home in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full Military Honors.

Dawsey Richard Glass, son of the late Richard and Gladys Lee Nanney Glass was born on September 11, 1920 in Bernie and died on June 19, 2011 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Facility in Dexter at the age of 90.

Mr. Glass was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII, a member of the Bernie Missionary Alliance Church and a resident of Bernie.

On December 15, 1937 he was united in marriage to Imogene Henry at Bloomfield. Mrs. Glass preceded him in death on March 16, 2004.

He is survived by one son and daughter in-law, Carlyn and wife Donna Glass of Loudon, Tennessee; by one sister, Nadine Carson of Bernie; by many grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Eugene Glass and Joseph Edward Glass and by two brothers, Goldie Glass and Willis “Tootie” Glass.

Norma Jaques, daughter of the late Lowell Summers and Ivy Jackson Summers, was born on Aug. 3, 1945, in Parma, Mo., and died at her sister's residence in Campbell, Mo., on June 16, 2011 at the age of 65.

Mrs. Jaques was a homemaker and a resident of Bernie, Mo.

Survivors include her long-time companion, Ronnie Williams of Bernie; one brother, Stephen Summers of Kennett, Mo.; four sisters, Phillis Summers of Kennett, Mo., Belva Jo Frazier of Wappapello, Mo., Beverly Summers of Campbell, Mo., and Penny Collins of Malden, Mo.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Delmar Summers, Melvin Summers, William "Hoot" Summers, and Randy Summers.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating.

Interment will follow at the Berrong Cemetery near Zalma, Mo.
