In Memory of Alberta Stover

Alberta Stover, daughter of the late Joseph Endicott and Ina Harrold Endicott, was born on July 29, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on May 25, 2024, at her son’s residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.


Mrs. Stover was the owner of Alberta’s Windshield Repair. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter.


She was united in marriage to Jimmy Stover. Mr. Stover preceded her in death on July 1, 2023.


She is survived by two sons, Steven Cox and wife April of Dexter, Missouri, and Anson Barney III and wife Sarah of Portageville, Missouri; by two daughters, Carolyn Morgan of Dexter, Missouri, and Lori House and husband Rick of Dexter, Missouri; by her sister, Joyce Wooten of North Carolina; by thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way.


Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers. Larry Lamb, Charles Hayes, and Jimmy Hayes; and by two sisters, Ruth Burkett, and Shirley Manning.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.


Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
