In Memory of Eddie E. Faire Jr.

Eddie E. Faire Jr., son of Pauline Letgrate Knight of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the late Earl Faire, was born on November 29, 1946, in Wolf Island, Missouri, and departed this life on November 11, 2023, at his residence in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.


Mr. Faire was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former house painter, and he attended the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, Missouri. He enjoyed watching TV and playing pool, and he loved his dog, Rocko.


On January 8, 1983, in Newton, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Kathy Bucklin. Mrs. Faire survives of their home in Sikeston.


Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by three brothers, David Faire and wife Pat of Sikeston, Missouri, Ronnie Faire and wife Pamela of Sikeston, Missouri, and Darrell Faire and wife Sheila of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and by his honorary grandchildren, who lovingly called him Papa E and “Grandpa”, Macie Wells, Riley Wells and Kaelie Wells.


Other than by his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Faire.


Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.


Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is assisting with arrangements.
