2023 Class 4, District 1 Boys Basketball Tournament Seeds Released

The 2023 Class 4, District 1 Boys Basketball Tournament seeds and bracket have been announced.

Games will be held at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter.  Admission is $6.00 per person. If you leave the game and come back it will be another $6.00 to enter.

Dexter earned the #1 seed followed by #2 Doniphan, #3 Notre Dame, #4 Kennett, #5 Fredericktown, and #6 Perryville.

Monday, February 27th Schedule:

5:30 p.m. Kennett vs Fredericktown

7:00 p.m. Notre Dame vs Perryville

Dexter and Doniphan received a bye for the first round.

Dexter will play the winner of the Kennett/Fredericktown game on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Doniphan will play the winner of the Notre Dame/Perryville game on Wednesday, March 1st at 7:00 p.m.

Championship game will be Friday, March 3, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.

Dexter High School LBB Senior Night Featuring Caitlin Giles

The Dexter High School recognized Lady Bearcat Basketball Senior Night featuring Caitlin Giles.

Caitlin is the daughter of Tripp and Laura Giles.

She is a member of the girls basketball team and is a four year letterman.

Her future plans are to attend Ole Miss and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Her most memorable moment at DHS was during DNOW scavenger hunt competition when Coach Sits bit a competitor.

Caitlin will graduate in May 2023 at Dexter High School.

Dexter High School LBB Senior Night Featuring Maddie Glaus

The Dexter High School recognized Lady Bearcat Basketball Senior Night featuring Maddie Glaus.

Maddie is the daughter of Ron and Kara Glaus.

She is a member of the girls basketball team and is a two year letterman.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Arkansas and major in political science before attend law school.

When it comes to basketball, her most memorable moment at DHS was when Coach Sits tried to convince the Buffalo Wild Wings waiter to give him a deal on his wings.

Maddie will graduate Dexter High School in May 2023.

2023 DHS Homecoming Candidates Announced

Dexter, MO - On Friday, February 10, 2023 the Dexter High School will host their 2023 Winter Homecoming. Coronation at the Bearcat Event Center.  Each young lady was nominated by the girls basketball team, boys basketball team, wrestling, dance and cheer.

Crowning of the queen and her court will be held between the junior varsity game and the varsity game!  Also prior to the junior varsity game the boys basketball team will be signing their trading cards.  During the halftime junior varsity game will be a check presentation to DHS as well as a cool surprise you won't want to miss!

So come out early and get your seat!

2023 SCAA Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament Bracket and Seeds

The 2023 Stoddard County Athletic Association (SCAA) Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament is set for January 23rd - 27th at the Bearcat Event Center in Dexter.  The bracket and seeds have been announced.

Dexter Bearcats have received the #1 seed followed by #2 Advance, #3 Bernie, #4 Puxico, #5 Woodland, #6 Bloomfield, #7 Richland, and #8 Bell City.

Day 1 - Monday, January 23rd

4:00 p.m. #2 Advance vs #7 Richland

8:30 p.m. #1 Dexter vs #8 Bell City

Day 2 - Tuesday, January 24th

5:30 p.m. #4 Puxico vs #5 Woodland

7:00 p.m. #3 Bernie vs #6 Bloomfield

Day 3 - Thursday, January 26th

Semifinal Games will be announced on Wednesday

Third place game will be Friday, January 27th at 5:30 p.m. and Championship game is set for 8:30 p.m.
