
Wanda Sue Harris, daughter of the late Herman Williamson and Maurene Jackson Box, was born on January 5, 1953, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on January 18, 2023, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching westerns and traveling and she loved the Statler Brothers music. She was a wonderful caregiver to her mother before she passed.
On July 21, 1970, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Larry L. Harris. Mr. Harris survives of their home in Bloomfield.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa Harris of Senath, Missouri; by two brothers, Ronnie Acup of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Terry Box of Dexter, Missouri; and by two nephews and a niece whom she thought of as her grandchildren, Nick Werkmeister, Cody Werkmeister, and Laura Carmack; and by other nieces and nephews.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Franklin Williamson, and Herman “John” Williamson; and by her sister, Linda McCarthy.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, in Puxico, Missouri.
