Wanda Louise Jones Vancil, daughter of the late Jack Jones and Helen Livers Jones, was born on October 8, 1936, near Puxico, Missouri, and departed this life on January 16, 2023, at Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 86 years.
Mrs. Vancil had worked for Lucas Florist in Dexter, Missouri, for over 40 years, and later she was the co-owner and operator of Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Missouri and Winchester Nursing Center and Winchester Place in Bernie, Missouri. She was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, where she enjoyed volunteering and serving her community. She was also a member of the Dexter Elks Lodge #2439, and Hidden Trails Country Club, and she enjoyed playing cards.
Wanda was a selfless, loving person. She could never do enough for each person she met and there wasn’t a person she wouldn’t put before herself. In her loved one’s eyes, she was one of God’s Angels on earth. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
On June 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Samuel Doran Vancil. Mr. Vancil survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband, Doran, she is survived by her daughter, Angela Jones and husband Don of Dexter, Missouri; by two daughters-in-law, Kathy Vancil and April Vancil, both of Dexter, Missouri; by her brother, James Dale Jones of Sugarland, Texas; by five grandchildren, Matthew Vancil and wife Faith, Ashley Vancil, Bailey Sells, Ben Sells and wife Leigh, and Jeffrey Hull; and by five great-grandchildren, Clayton McGowan, Aidan McGowan, Liam McGowan, Aubrey Sells, and Nora Sells.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Bruce Vancil, Wade Vancil, and John Vancil; by her brother, Scott Jones and by her sister, Mona Scherer.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. David Coon officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Anna Maria Roper, daughter of the late Joseph Munaco and Dorothy Lee Munaco, was born on February 19, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on January 15, 2023, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 66 years.
Mrs. Roper had worked for Fancy Farm Popcorn and Wal-Mart, and she was a resident of Bernie, Missouri. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.
She was first united in marriage to Darrell McCoy in 1975. Mr. McCoy preceded her in death on March 8, 2001. She was then united in marriage to Dewayne Roper in 2003. Mr. Roper preceded her in death in 2020.
She is survived by her son, Darrell McCoy of Bernie, Missouri; by her daughter, Tanya Guzman and husband Fernando of Bernie, Missouri; by two step-daughters, Angela Roper and Tammy Chaffin; by three brothers, Joe Munaco of Cuba, Missouri, Robert Munaco of St. Louis, Missouri, and Doyle Munaco of Ohio; and by eight grandchildren, Brian Poe, Teresa Poe, Selena Poe, Alex Guzman, Sara Guzman, Abby Roper, Shaina Chaffin, and Skylar Chaffin.
Other than by her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Poe.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.

Shirley Lee Campbell of Bloomfield, Missouri, daughter of the late William and Arzula (Fortner) Burns was born on January 22, 1936, at Clines Island, Missouri, and passed from this life on January 17, 2023, in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 86 years 11 months and 26 days.
She lived in the Bloomfield area the majority of her life. Shirley attended the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield. She was a member of the Dexter Eagles, VFW Auxillary and the American Legion. She loved watching westerns, making friends, spending time with her family especially spoiling her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Donna Lynn O'Neal of Campbell, Missouri and Kimberley Ann Nevels of Bloomfield, Missouri; two brothers, Gene (Diane) Burns of Redding, California and Earl (Emma) Burns of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Mary Hollis of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with one more on the way; five close friends, Michael Allen, Annie Livesay, Sandy Hyman, Vickie Smith and Vickie Eavers; as well as a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons Vince Brian and Gordon Wade Noland; one sister Wanda Perry.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service following at the Watkins And Sons Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, Missouri, with Pastor Charlie Robertson of Bloomfield, Missouri, officiating with Watkins And Sons Funeral in charge of all arrangements.
Barbara Sue Reddick of Puxico, MO, daughter of the late Jack and Edith (Johnson) Randleman was born on August 25, 1950, Vallejo, California, passed from this life on January 11, 2023, in Advance, Missouri at the age of 72.
She lived in the Puxico area most of her life. She was member of the Church of Christ in Puxico, Missouri.
Barbara enjoyed taking walks, spending time with her family, especially trying to what grandmothers do best by spoiling her grandchildren. She was a stern and determined woman who never met a stranger. She also enjoyed being a member of the Mingo Saddle Club.
Barbara was married to Larry Gene Reddick on August 21, 1970 in Fairview, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters Anna LeTreshia Reddick of Bloomfield and Anita Jean Barker of Dudley, Missouri; one brother Michael Don Randelman of McGee, Missouri; one sister Jaquelin Virginia Gaines of Puxico, Missouri; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Pastor Johnny Buttry of Puxico, Missouri officiating with interment to follow.
Mary Helen Cantrell, age 82 of Sikeston, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
She was born January 12, 1941, in Morehouse, MO., to the late Herschel and Margaret (Greer) Sloan and had worked as a nurse aide before retiring and was of the Baptist faith.
On June 28, 1969, in Morehouse, MO., she married Noel Ray Cantrell who preceded her in death.
She is survived by four sons, Noel (Sue) Cantrell of Sikeston, Danny Cantrell of St. Louis, Blaine Cantrell of Jefferson City, and Herschel (Beverly) Kennedy of Wappapello; five daughters Billie Heaton of Sikeston, Audrey Ward of Sikeston, Julia Hanak of St. Louis, Tresea Brashear of Sikeston, and Michelle (David) Kirkman of Sikeston; three brothers, Jimmie Sloan of Sikeston, Robert (Jackie) Sloan of Piedmont, and Steven (Ronda) Sloan of Sikeston; two sisters Ann Mullette of Montana, and Shirley Sloan of Sikeston; and 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers Edward, Herschel Dale, and Claude Sloan; one sister Peggy Sloan, two grandchildren Dustan Heaton and Courtney Kennedy.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Glen Cantrell Officiating.
Interment will follow at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
