
The first game of the 2022 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament on Tuesday was between the Portageville Bulldogs and the Richland Rebels. The Rebels came out strong in the first quarter leading the Bulldogs 20 -11
Portageville fought back, changed up their offense and pulled ahead at the half 34 - 32, eventually winning the game 81-63.
Jamarion Smith, a 6'0" junior, tallied a team-high 21 points for the Bulldogs on seven baskets, one trey and was 4/5 at the line.
Shane Townsend, a 6'0" senior, contributed 14 points all on regulation baskets.
Connor Sells and Thomas Frakes each finished the night with 10 points. Sells is a 6'2" senior. He recorded his points on five baskets. Sells is a 6'2" senior and recorded his points on five buckets.
Richland's Hunter Sanders, a 5'8" sophomore guard recorded a game-high 27 points. He sunk five 3-pointers, five buckets and was 2 for 5 at the line.

Damon Ivy a 6'2" senior guard finished the night with 10 points on three buckets, one 3-pointers and one from the line.

In the last game of the first night of the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament the Twin Rivers Royals squared off with the Van Buren Bulldogs. It was all Royals fighting for the win. Final Score #6 Twin Rivers 66, #11 Van Buren 35.
Jagger Crismon, a 5'9" senior guard recorded a game-high 19 points against the Bulldogs. He tallied four treys, three baskets and was 1/1 at the charity stripe.
Hunter Huddleston, a 6'4" senior center/forward contributed 12 points on four buckets and was 4/5 at the line for the Royals.

The Doniphan Dons seeded #3 in the 2022 Bloomfield Christmas Tournament defeated #14 seeded Hayti by only four points in the next to the last game of the first day of the tournament. The final score was Doniphan 63, Hayti 59.
Doniphan's Max Owen, a 6'3" senior guard, scored a tournament record high of 37 points in the first round today. He hit six treys and eight buckets and was 3/6 at the charity stripe.

The Kennett Indians came out firing on all cylinder, but the Holcomb Hornets held on tight in the first quarter ending with a 16 all tie.
Kennett edged closer to a victory in the second quarter with a small lead of five points, Once the halftime break was over the Indians demanded their top players to compete competitively scoring 53 points in the second half while the Hornets were offensively challenged scoring only 30 points.
Despite the loss, Jacob Reeves-Crittendon, a 5'9" junior guard, held the game-high 25 points for the Hornets. He scored only one bucket, but made up for it in 3-pointers pitching in five. He was 8/11 at the charity stripe.
Ashton Dismukes, a 6'0" freshman from Kennett tallied a team-high 19 points. 12 Kennett Indians scored during the game. Dismukes had 8 buckets and was 3/5 at the line.
Dyson Watson, a 5'11" sophomore, finished with 16 points for Kennett. He record six buckets, one trey and one extra point from the line.
