Samuel E. Sandage, son of the late Guy Sandage and Geraldine McIntyre Sandage, was born on March 2, 1951, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on December 5, 2022, at his residence in Oakland, Mississippi, at the age of 71 years.
Mr. Sandage was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a former car hauler for Chrysler and a former fishing guide in Mississippi. He was of the Christian faith.
On October 2, 1970, in Essex, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Noyes. Mrs. Sandage survives of their home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jason Sandage and wife Alicia of Bloomfield, Missouri; by his daughter, Christi Houchins and husband Larry of Wappapello, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Whitney Grubbs, Shelby King, Samantha Sandage, and Cody Swinney, by one great grandson on the way, Jack Edward Grubbs; and by his beloved dog, Punken.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Sandage; and by his sister, Judy Massey.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
