
Deborah Sue Atkins, daughter of Suetta Whitehead Hall of Chaonia Village, Missouri, and the late Bobby Louis Hall, was born on January 24, 1957, in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life on July 1, 2022, at her daughter’s residence in Doniphan, Missouri, at the age of 65 years.
Mrs. Atkins had worked for Brown Shoe, International Hat, Unilever and Rowe Furniture and she was a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She loved taking care of her kids, grandkids, and animals – mini goats, chickens, ducks and two tortoises.
On April 16, 1976, in Malden, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Arthur Atkins. Mr. Atkins survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband and mom, she is survived by her son, Michael Atkins and wife Heather of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two daughters, Christina Craddock and husband Brian of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Jennifer Pritchard and husband Hobart of Doniphan, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Courtnie Atkins, Rachael Green, Bradley Atkins, Kelsey Nelson, Michael Joe Atkins, and Rhyker Nelson; and by six great-grandchildren, Kaydence Orr, Hunter Brock, Izzabella, Baker, Addysin Baker, Jade Kirkham, and Beckett Atkins.
Other than by her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hall; and by her sister, Linda Elston.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Angela K. Williamson, daughter of Judy Davis of Gaston, South Carolina, and the late David Earl Davis, was born on March 6, 1963, in Dexter, Missouri, and departed this life on June 30, 2022, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 59 years.
Mrs. Williamson was a secretary for Brown Construction in Dexter and the former owner and operator of Angie’s Always Tan in downtown Dexter. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter and she helped keep books for the Stoddard County Children’s Home. Angie had a passion for volleyball; she enjoyed coaching volleyball and was a volleyball referee for MSHSAA for 30 years. Angie was always kind and had a big smile for everyone she met. She loved visiting with people, and she had a hug for anyone who needed to be cheered up. Angie had an enormous impact on the Stoddard County community, everyone loved her dearly and she will be deeply missed by all.
On April 22, 2000, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Tom Williamson. Mr. Williamson survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two step-sons, Daniel Allen Williamson of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Caleb Wesley Williamson of Bernie, Missouri; by her brother, David Davis of Lexington, South Carolina; by her sister, Teresa Davis of Gaston, South Carolina; by her foster sister, Linda Russell of Dexter, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Daniel Williamson and Trey Williamson, both of Bloomfield, Missouri; and by many extended family and close friends.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, July 3, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Sapphire “Phire” Adai Ledora Holmes, daughter of Shaunteza Patton and Damion Holmes of Bernie, Missouri, was born on December 16, 2021, in Sikeston Missouri. Sapphire was called “HOME” on June 27, 2022, at 4:55 a.m. at Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 6 months.
Sapphire was a happy, joyful baby who enjoyed being talked to and watching just about any TV show or movie you put in front of her. She was very feisty and when she didn’t like something she would let you know.
Sapphire is survived by her mother, Shaunteza Patton of Bernie, Missouri; by her father, Damion Holmes of Bernie, Missouri; by a sister, Deandria Holmes of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. By her maternal grandparents, Aisha Patton and Cornelius Patton of Parma, Missouri; by her paternal grandmother, Claudette Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and by her paternal grandfather, Orlando Perkins of Sikeston, Missouri.
Sapphire’s parents would like to give special shout out and thank you to the Staff at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri as well as her home nurse Jennifer Burk who all loved our sweet baby girl like their own.

Danny Delanio Henson, son of the late Pete and Lola Henson, was born on March 25, 1952, and departed this life on June 29, 2022, in Bloomfield, Missouri, at the age of 70 years.
Mr. Henson was a former employee of Robinson Construction in Perryville, Missouri, and a life-long resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.
On October 23, 1999, in Bloomfield, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Suzanne Woods.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years, Suzanne Henson of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sons, Thomas Henson and wife Alivia of Paragould, Arkansas, and Joshua Smith and wife Charity of Essex, Missouri; two brothers, Harry Henson of Bloomfield, Missouri, and William Henson; two sisters, Linda McCleary of Advance, Missouri and Ruth Bess and husband Ken of Bloomfield, Missouri; and six grandchildren, Ian Henson, Levi Henson, Kayden Smith, Codielee Smith, Silas Smith, and Johnny Farmer.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barb Grim; and by his brother, Jamie Henson.

Billy Arnold Baldwin, Sr., 88, of Charter Oak, Missouri, (rural Catron) died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Arbors at Capetown in Cape Girardeau.
Billy was born April 24, 1934 in Charter Oak to Arzie and Bertie Barnett Baldwin. He and Rebecca Sue Stobaugh were married on June 26, 1954 in Hernando, Mississippi. Three children, Tamara, Billy Jr., and Chris, were born to their union. They were married for nearly 59 years before Rebecca’s death on April 28, 2013.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56 and was stationed in Pirmasens, Germany. After his service, he used the G.I. Bill to earn his G.E.D. and attend mechanics’ school. While Rebecca was completing her teaching degree at Arkansas State Teachers College, they lived in Conway, Arkansas, where Billy worked as a mechanic.
When they moved back to Missouri, he worked for the Mahan-Radcliffe Cotton Gin in rural Parma and farmed. In 1962 he opened Bill’s Repair and Welding Shop in Charter Oak and worked on automobiles, farm equipment, and anything with an engine. After closing his shop in the early 1990s, he farmed 160 acres for a neighbor and served as a Jacques Seed distributor for a number of years. He also worked in Farm and Home sales at Homestead’s in Sikeston, Missouri. For over 30 years Billy served as the treasurer of the Elk Township (Stoddard County) Road Board, helping to oversee the construction and maintenance of bridges and roads in the township.
In 1976 he received his private pilot’s license, an accomplishment of which he was very proud. He loved camping at Sam A. Baker and Arrowhead Campgrounds near Grassy, Missouri, and attending bluegrass music festivals there and at numerous other locations. He enjoyed playing his upright acoustic bass in jam sessions at these festivals and in the homes, shops, and barns of his bluegrass family. In recent years, he enjoyed playing cards and “loafing” at the “card shack” on Highway D near Dexter with old friends. Billy enjoyed the outdoors and fished and hunted with family and friends much of his life, and he was an avid collector of pocket knives and old marbles. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to have multiple jokes or funny stories at the ready to share. He was also a past member of the Essex, Missouri Lions Club.
As a youth, Billy was baptized into the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Tamara Baldwin Sessoms of Cape Girardeau, two sons, Billy Jr. and Chris Baldwin, both of Charter Oak; five grandchildren, Blake (Ashley) Kendrick, Brandon (Jordan) Kendrick, Megan (Ross) Hoover, Haley Baldwin, and Clayton Baldwin; step-grandchildren, Deidre Sessoms (David DeNuzzo), Hank (Shannon) Sessoms; four great-grandchildren, Brooks Kendrick, Laken Hoover, Jayce Kendrick, and Hadley Kendrick; three step-great-grandchildren, Trey Sessoms, Alex DeNuzzo, and Jace DeNuzzo; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws, Glenda and Jerry Barber of Dexter, Missouri; Margaret and Walton Weaver of Beaumont, Texas; Jan and Allen Powell of Dexter, Missouri; Jeannine McCoy of Lubbock, Texas; Pauline Baldwin of Cuba, Missouri; Pat Baldwin of Dexter, Missouri; Irene Baldwin of Jackson, Missouri; and Randal Breece of Jackson, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved extended family and friends. He is also survived by his dear grand-dogs, including Gus, Patch, and Ben with whom he spent the most time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca; his parents; father-and mother-in-law, Avery and Martha Stobaugh; son-in-law, Henry Sessoms, Sr.; six brothers, Albert, Arzie Jr., Raleigh, Harold, Ron, and Rick Baldwin; three sisters, Mary Swinger, Polly Pannebecker, and Cassandra Breece; brothers-in-law, Harry Swinger, Roy Pannebecker, and Larry Jones; sisters-in-law, Hazel Baldwin and Kathy Jones; and the family’s beloved chihuahua, Bitty.
For the last year of his life, Billy was unable to live independently and safely in his home in his beloved Charter Oak. For the past eight months he resided in the Arbors at Capetown in Cape Girardeau. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Arbors for their loving care and attention shown to Billy and the compassionate care provided by Crown Hospice personnel during his final weeks.
Visitation will be conducted at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
