Larry T. Tilley, son of the late John Henry Tilley and Vevie Drye Tilley was born on March 18, 1950, in Sherrill, Arkansas and departed this life on June 24, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 72.
Mr. Tilley was a truck driver and a mechanic. He was a “gear head”, and always had his head under the hood of anything on wheels. He loved stock cars and race cars.
On January 9, 1971, he was united in marriage to Carol Hoss in Idalia, Missouri. Mrs. Tilley survives of their residence in Essex.
Other than by his wife, Carol, he is survived by two sons, Larry Tilley Jr. and wife Brittany of Essex, Missouri, and Ronnie Tilley and wife Carla of Dexter, Missouri; by two brothers, J.W. Tilley of Bloomfield, Missouri and Kenneth Tilley of Van Buren, Missouri; by two sisters, Katherine Hopkins of Bloomfield, Missouri and Gale Bess of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Nickol Fowler and husband Greg, Preston Tilley and wife Aleigha, Jordan Tilley, Teresa Kinders and husband Casey, Hudson Tilley, Parker Tilley and Barrett Tilley; and by two great-grandchildren, Callie Fowler and Leo Tilley.
Other then by his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Tilley; by six brothers, Dale Tilley, William Merrick, Carl “Pete” Tilley, Charles “Tinker” Tilley, Robert Tilley and Gerald “Shorty” Tilley; and by four sisters, Maxine Robey, Floy Jean Robey, Lula Jackson and Lenora Bost.
Visitation will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2022, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will then be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow at the New Essex Cemetery.

Phillip Lee Cullum, son of Edna Jameson McIntire and the late Shirley Lee Cullum, was born on September 4, 1966, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on June 22, 2022, at Dexter Living Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 55 years.
Mr. Cullum was a former employee of Havco Wood Products in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was a resident of Cape Girardeau. He enjoyed working.
He is survived by his mother, Edna McIntire of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by his brother, Forrest Dewayne Cullum of Scott City, Missouri; by his sister, Carla Ann Davis of Springfield, Missouri; by his nephew, Logan Cullum; by his niece, Heather Cullum; by two special cousins, David Green, and Joy Green both of Dexter, Missouri; and by several aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.

Raymond Dean Morse of Bloomfield Missouri, son of Rosie Morse and stepson of Harvey Morse was born on May 13, 1957. Raymond passed away and left this world to be with Jesus on June 22, 2022 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 65.
He lived in the Dexter/ Bloomfield area all of his life. Raymond was active in several churches. His passion was to witness and sing for Jesus.
Raymond had been a truck mechanic for the last 25 years.
Raymond married Debra Lynne Robbins on May 4, 1985 in Dexter, Missouri. Raymond is survived by his wife Debra Morse of the home; his stepdaughter Deanna Christian of Dexter, Missouri; two granddaughters Candace (Justin) McCollough; Lindsay Christian; two grandsons Aaron Christian; Dalton Christian; eight great-grandchildren Hunter McCollough; Nolan McCollough; Hayden Christian; Dalton Christian; Lindsay Christian; Kendall, Callie and Blakeley as well as a host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Gene Cobb, son of the late Clarence Cobb and Nancy Lyons Cobb, was born on April 14, 1946, in Corning, Arkansas, and departed this life on June 22, 2022, at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
Mr. Cobb was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company in Bernie, Missouri.
He is survived by two daughters, Nora Lang of Scott City, Missouri and Susan Miller of Advance, Missouri; by his step-son, Roy Rickman of Bernie, Missouri; by his step-daughter, Sharon Meadows of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by two brothers, Joe Cobb of Bernie, Missouri and Jerry Cobb of Malden, Missouri; by two sisters, Vernell Ross of Malden, Missouri and Bonnie Sue Fouse of Hoopeston, Illinois; and by twelve grandchildren; Krendy DeJournett, Travis DeJournett, Sarah Lang, Austin Miller, Ethan Miller, Kade Miller, Gena Meadows, Staci Snider, Kelli Underwood, Mandy Meppiel, Samantha Collins, and Joe Baxter.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Joe Baxter; by his step-daughter, Ramona Stockton; by three brothers, Vonda Cobb, Leon Cobb, and Willie Cobb; and by his sister, Wretha Minton.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Bernie Cemetery.

Roy B. Harris, 87, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. Roy was born March 4, 1935, in Alabama to Arthur and Leola Harris. He was one of eight brothers and six sisters.
Roy was a Christian and sat on the board of directors at the Lighthouse Church in Dexter, Missouri. Roy was one everyone could count on, always willing to help anyone in need. Those close to him knew him as simply “Papa”. Roy was blessed through out his life.
After high school he joined the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War aboard the aircraft carriers USS Boxer & USS Essex. Next, he joined the Shreveport, Louisiana fire department and worked for Orkin Pest Control at the same time. His passion to be of service to people led him to Revlon Cosmetics where he retired as a top territory manager receiving numerous top awards. He then moved back to Southeast Missouri and started a land grading company. It was here the Italian pump company Lowara learned of Roy and hired him as Vice President of U.S. sales. Eventually, Goulds Pumps bought out Lowara and Roy stayed on with them until retiring again. Never one to sit still, Roy continued to be of service to anyone who needed help.
Roy, a beloved husband, is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley M. Harris of Dexter, Missouri; by his son, Kevin Harris of Houston, Texas; by his daughter, Tammie R. Harris of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Tasha N. Harris of Haymarket, Virginia; Crystal F. Cunningham of Dexter, Missouri; Dustin L. Cunningham of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Danielle A. Keaton of Washington D.C.; and by eight great-grandchildren, four brothers and one sister.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rick Harris; and by three brothers and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Church on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
