Betty Florence Kitterman, daughter of the late Chester Olen Pickard and Velma Mae Simmons Pickard, was born on June 21, 1941, in Iron City, Tennessee, and departed this life on February 16, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.

Mrs. Kitterman was a former medical secretary. She attended the Christian Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was a resident of Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by her son, Donald Kitterman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by three daughters, Julia Emery of St. Charles, Missouri, Nancee Mareschel of St. Peters, Missouri, and Rebecca Johnson of Hillsboro, Missouri; by her brother, Donald Pickard of Marble Hill, Missouri; and by her sister, Shelby Palmatory of Jackson, Missouri; and by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester Pickard, Billy Pickard, and David Pickard; and by her sister, Willodean Kettering.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

A memorial service will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
