Jack Ferguson, son of the late Bruce Ferguson and Alice Studdard Ferguson, was born on December 25, 1946, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life on February 12, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Ferguson was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver for 45 years and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.
On November 21, 1964, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Jacqueline Burnett. Mrs. Ferguson survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife Jacqueline, he is survived by two sons, Mike Ferguson of Malden, Missouri, and Eddie Ferguson (Sarah) of Rose Hill, Kansas; by two daughters, Candy Duppass (James) of Arnold, Missouri, and Windy Freeman (Tara) of Spokane, Washington; by his sister, Betty Arnold of Bogard, Missouri; and by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton Ferguson, Bruce Ferguson Jr., and J. B. Ferguson.

Phillip Lloyd Short, son of the late Odes Short and Mildred Luermann Short, was born on April 23, 1932, in Success, Arkansas, and departed this life on February 11, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Arkansas, at the age of 89 years.
Mr. Short was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a former teacher and retired from Neelyville Schools where he taught Geography and Social Studies and he was a former farmer. He was an active member of the First General Baptist Church in Corning, Arkansas, and a resident of Neelyville, Missouri.
On October 19, 1958, in Essex, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Opal Coffey. Mrs. Short survives of their home in Neelyville.
In addition to his wife Opal, he is survived by his daughter, Renee Ritter and husband Steve of Williford, Arkansas; by his brother, Kenneth Short and wife Dottie of Houston, Texas; by two sisters, Shirley Schif of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and Wanda Wyatt and husband Wendell of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by his sister-in-law, Jean Isbell and husband Bob of Dexter, Missouri; by his brother-in-law, Lewis “Bud” Coffey of Dexter, Missouri; and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brad Short; by his brother, Wayne Short, and by his brother-in-law, Charles Schif.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Robinson (Phillip’s cousin) officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

David Allan Mouser, son of the late L. L. “Buster” Mouser and Rubie Kelley Mouser, was born on December 11, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and departed this life on February 11, 2022, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Mouser was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He had worked at Rust & Martin, was co-owner of Gisi Oil and had also worked at Delta Companies. He was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. He was a member of the Dexter Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.
On October 17, 1968, in Bernie, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Janie Gisi. Mrs. Mouser survives of their home in Dexter.
In addition to his wife Janie, he is survived by his son Geoff Mouser of Jackson, Missouri; by his daughter, Lindsay Moore and husband Shane of Dexter, Missouri; and by two grandchildren, Hudson Moore and Whitley Moore.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Mary Lucinda Hibbs, daughter of the late Walter Emes and Elizabeth Janet Emes, was born on March 21, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life on February 10, 2022, at her residence in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Hibbs was a former LPN and Nursing Home Administrator. She was a former resident of Saint Charles, Missouri.
On February 14, 2014, she was united in marriage to Carl Theodore Hibbs. Mr. Hibbs preceded her in death on April 28, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Lemons and husband Ameal of Dexter, Missouri; by her son, Jeffrey Voelpel Jr. and wife Alexandria of Piedmont, Missouri; by her companion, John Plein of St. Charles, Missouri; by her brother, Jeffrey Emes of Florida; by nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Voelpel III of St. Louis, Missouri, Breanna Voelpel of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Ryan Voelpel of St. Louis, Missouri, Bethany Voelpel, Brandi Voelpel, and Braelynn Voelpel all of Piedmont, Missouri, Erik Schmidt, Ameal Lemons III, and Jeremy Schmidt all of Dexter, Missouri; and by eight great-grandchildren, Jeremy Schmidt Jr., Serenity Schmidt, Rayne Schmidt, Samson Schmidt, Sophia Schmidt, Bentley Voelpel, Skye McBride, and Violet McBride.
Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Quintine Schmidt and Rhett Lemons.

Virginia Anna Pritchard, daughter of the late William Tanner and Dorothy Barker Carr, was born on August 23, 1946, in Hialeah, Florida, and departed this life on February 10, 2022, at Westfield Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.
Mrs. Pritchard was a former nurses aid. She was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. She always had a sassy attitude, and she dearly loved her grandkids.
She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Condict and husband Mark of Essex, Missouri, Denise Mims and companion Kenny Lucey of Sikeston, Missouri, and Michelle Ford and husband Ronnie of Robertsdale, Alabama; by nine grandchildren, Bryan Condict and wife Jordyn, Jordan Smith and husband Trevor, Katie Hayes and husband Hunter, Gage Lasser and companion Taylor Matlock, Alex Lasser and wife Katie, Abby Green, Allen Hopkins and companion Melanie, Justin Hopkins and wife Elizabeth, and Lindsey Hopkins; and by fifteen great-grandchildren, Keagen Condict, Averi Condict, Bryar Condict, Charlotte Smith, Parker Hayes, Piper Scowden, Gage Lasser Jr., Ian Lasser, Aiden Lasser, Finley Jackson, Maisie Hopkins, Londyn Hopkins, Claudia Hopkins, Sydney Hays, and Chloe Welter.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Kinsley Hopkins.
